I think the thing I hate most about all this gender identity nonsense is that at the college in the area I live, which is a respectable institution, there are 34 Gender Identity courses, and only 3 Political History courses.
11 times as many courses about an issue that afflicts, at the highest rate estimate, 1 in 10000 people, than courses about something that affects 10000 in 10000 people.

Gender identity affects alot more than 1 in 10000. in my experience it's closer to about 1 in 40-50.

Most people just don't talk about it though, even if they are going through it.

Even taking your anecdotal evidence over statistical evidence, more people are affected by politics. Far more.

still, I've never even heard of a college offering "gender Identity courses"

What would they even teach? "It's okay to want to wear a skirt if you're a guy, just please shave your legs. Class dissmissed!"?

So I'd say your school is unusual.
