What you're doing is against nature. .. If vegans/vegetarians care so much about animals, why do they steal the animals food?

Either their stomachs are too sensitive, they can't stand the taste or they're insecure children who want to feel good about themselves and want everyone to know it.
#272 to #37 - anon (04/19/2013) [-]
Or they just morally object to the exploitation of animals? There's no need to be a dick about it.
#98 to #9 - anon (04/19/2013) [-]
Most vegetarians/vegans do it either because of health reasons or because of the environment. For the animals was the least popular answer of the three.
User avatar #211 to #98 - hydraetis (04/19/2013) [-]
Because of the environment? That does not make sense to me.
#258 to #211 - anon (04/19/2013) [-]
Environmental would be like, lack of meat products, or meat products being unsafe, so you cannot eat that meat, and instead eat vegetables.

Asians hide their mind reading abiliities by having completely expressionless faces to avoid accidently showing facial expressions when people think things they don't Ike, find funny, astonishing etc, and they segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate and are very untalkative to avoid accidently saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for no reason.

I really don't understand that argument. As far as I know, humans = omnivores = supposed to eat both plants & animals. Not to mention I know vegetarians who are in a worse physical shape (aches, pains, etc.) than non-vegetarians that are 20 years older.

Probably because he takes supplements and/or pays very close attention to his diet, which you can get the same results with meat in your diet.
User avatar #354 to #281 - arisaka (04/20/2013) [-]
You can get a full protien depending on exactly what you eat. You don't HAVE to take supplements.

I'm a little pickier so I take some anti-oxidant and folic acid supplements, but as far as that goes, I'm good. If I wasn't such a little bitch I wouldn't have to do that.

To be honest you just gotta eat your legumes and your spinach. Protein and Iron right there.

I'd say it's the other way around.

If you're against animals suffering so you can eat, then why would you still drink milk and eat eggs etc.?

For cows to produce milk, they need to give birth to a calf first and that calf doesn't get to frolic for the rest of its life. If it's male, it's probably just killed straight away.
Eggs can come from battery farms.
User avatar #349 to #323 - tiberioustyphr (04/19/2013) [-]
I thought Vegetarian was a diet choice and Vegan was the whole suffering of animals thing?

Vegan is not eating ANY animal product.
User avatar #351 to #350 - tiberioustyphr (04/19/2013) [-]
So why are you saying that it's the other way around?
User avatar #352 to #351 - anonymoose (04/19/2013) [-]
Vegetarians drink milk and eat eggs. Both of those act involve killing/using animals. A lot of vegetarians ******** how they don't want anything to do with animal deaths even though they still use products that cause animal deaths and animal torture.

Vegans avoid any animal products therefore their moral choice is intact.

If you are against animal harm, avoid all animal products or none. Don't take the half way ground and claim you're entirely against it or I will hit you.

I've been a vegetarian for 2 years now. Most of my friends don't even know, simply because I don't like to tell people, because this is generally the reaction I get.

Honestly, I don't give a **** who eats what. I don't personally believe in eating meat, but I can understand why people do eat it. I hate it when people tell me my eating habits are wrong, so I refuse to tell anyone their eating habits are wrong.

Anyways, isn't anyone getting kinda tired of the "vegetarians eat countless helpless plants each day" joke? This post was better than most, but seriously, it's been posted like once per week since the dawn of the internet.

User avatar #288 to #137 - elenalkarnur (04/19/2013) [-]
Not to pick on anybody but there are actually people who are "bleeding heart" enough to think that even eating plants is evil and even the strictest vegans don't go far enough for them. They're called "primals" or "primal eaters". The irony is that they've gone all the way round and have come full circle back to eating both meat and vegetables.

I got caught in a debate about vegetarianism at my college yesterday. I was replying to all these questions as truthfully and as non-confrontational as possible. I was being criticized, and one ****** even had the nerve to say this:

"But you preach your vegetarianism to us. You're kind of preaching right now."

************ , I'm defending myself and I never once made a reference about my beliefs towards being a vegetarian, other than why I am a vegetarian (I.E, I personally don't think the way animals are treated is ethical, those were my exact words) and I literally mentioned to everyone I was a vegetarian when I first decided to change my diet. Don't tell me I'm preaching when YOU bring up the topic and YOU start to argue with me.
