Not Gonna lie: I cried when he got blow the **** up. I didn't give a **** about Dogmeat or James dying (namely cause Dogmeat kept running into bullets and I knew that james got reincarnated as Quigon Jin) but they can't ever fix Prime. Got rust his parts.

Logic dictates that if a group of power armored xenophobes and 8 ft tall mutants with mini guns are fighting you let them be. Not Dogmeat. No. His plan is to play catch with every single bullet and laser beam he can.

You said we were a terrible father, smashed the family boats and all the heirlooms and models we had spent centuries on, stole our money and then ran off to the French because he gave you free gunpowder. You said the French were better than us....do you know how much that hurt?

We love Canada because it reminds us of what you were before you hurt us and tried to beat up the rest of the family.
User avatar #41 to #40 - Muppetz (04/18/2013) [-]
You were an abusive and neglectful father.
All you cared about was your stupid empire and your ugly tea!

At least France never taxed us into poverty or tried to invade our room.
#43 to #41 - intrepidy (04/18/2013) [-]
Abusive? Neglectful? Is that what you call the lies and propaganda France drilled into you? The boston massacre were caused by drunken irishmen rushing 8 guys with guns. It was not a massacre and we spent all of our time and energy on you, more so than our other kids. We even removed those smelly Frenchies from your garden! You only got mad because we told you to stop picking on the natives next door. The boston tea party was caused by us lowering the price of Tea....

Its not invading if you own it ...you ended up wrecking your own house when your flat mate pissed you off and stopped paying the rent.

And France would have taxed you into poverty if it had the chance and we hadn't already kicked them out of America...what do you think caused the French revolution?
User avatar #46 to #43 - Muppetz (04/18/2013) [-]
You only put the effort into us because you wanted to make a profit off of us. You never really cared!
You never let us play with the other countries!
It was always;
"Maintain my empire in he new world, America."
"Ship us more goods, America."
"The rent just went up, America."
"Our troops are staying in your house, America."
"Stop spelling 'Colour' wrong, America."

We were just a business investment to you!
#48 to #46 - intrepidy (04/18/2013) [-]
If you have a problem with your upbringing, i'd like you to take a gander down to the kids of Spain, Portugal and France....see any difference? We treated you the way you needed to be treated to grow into the country you are today! If we treated you differently, you'd be no different to Haiti or Mexico. You need the forceful hand to reach your potential and you did! Why can't you see that? :(

We only needed you to maintain the American parts, Canada and the tropics looked after themselves. We just needed you to watch out for your local threats. we couldn't be everywhere and you wanted the responsibility anyway!
You were proud of those goods you shipped...they made you feel good and gave you money and proved you didn't need us to baby sit you like the Spanish colonies to be successful..how did you expect to bring in new people without that?

You have been completely brainwashed regarding those taxes. After the seven years war which removed the French from America (they could have quite easily invaded you) we needed new money to pay off the debt. As it helped you the most, it was only fair you share the burdern with dad. We lowered the taxes on Tea and halfed the taxes on sugar but increased enforcement and taxes stamps and common goods like glass, lead paper and tea etc. It was the fact we decided this without asking....we apologised in the end but you already started smashing stuff up at that point.

Oh you are still exaggerating, England had a tiny winny army back then and only had colonial garrisons of a few hundred men.

You DO spell colour wrong you inbred morons. I thought we taught you better. Also, Armour.

America was not taxed into poverty. With the combination of higher taxes due to a recent war and the banning of the slave trade rich colonials went mental and rebelled. There is nothing honourable or brave about the American revolution. It was however very impressive.

I see you missed out "foreign", it's actually the French Foreign Legion.
The French army can be badass.
When it's soldiers aren't French.
User avatar #114 to #106 - crazycommando (04/18/2013) [-]
actually, it is only called the french foreign legion because of the fact that they accept foreigners (although 20% of the soldiers are french )

besides that all the soldiers are bound to france
User avatar #133 to #114 - muchasmarcos (04/18/2013) [-]
Also i should tell that there are 2 different conscript types. Foreing criminalls who joined the legion (they get shot if they mess up in training) and the regular conscripts who are the ones to become officers(still the french make up les of a third of the regular conscripts , most of them are from eastern europe).
User avatar #135 to #133 - crazycommando (04/18/2013) [-]
the foreign criminal part is over though, they only accept "minor" crimes from now on.

the execution part i have a serious doubt in, maybe in the past yes, however nowadas that would not happen

there are only 2 types of conscription processes :

-EVAT : so all legionaires

-OFFICIER : all the officers who wish to be part of the Legion are French (No exeptions) the few "foreigners" who are Officers have made there way from the lower ranks.

but yes you are however right a large majority of Easterners join the Legion ever year

User avatar #136 to #135 - muchasmarcos (04/18/2013) [-]
Do you know who general Ante Gotovina is? He was an high ranking officer in the foreing legion alltho he's not french. The thing is that the legion changed its conscription rules less than a decade ago. Thanx for the interesting conversation.
User avatar #140 to #136 - crazycommando (04/18/2013) [-]
quite possible yes, however like stated before he had to go through the same path as all legionaires, and is part of the few "elite" to make it to the Officer Cadre

the contracts last 5 years, after which the foreigners can either to chose to reenlist or can choose to get their french citizenship and live in france (many choose this over the other)

Yes, i know the Legion changed it's conscription rules.

no probs, the pleasure is mine bud

i did a bit of history,,,and found back during the 1930's, when the german army took in french divisions to fight with them, with a few german officers to lead them, the french soldiers and sergeants actually fought better than german troops
