Whever I see one of his strips in this style, it makes me wonder why Watterson never continued with other comics after ending Calvin and Hobbes. He could do great things.

the thing is, that reason he stopped drawing it was because he did not want to repeat his jokes or that it would go bad, and not remembered. and think of it, he did do it good. if he had made it longer, it may have been worse, and then we would maybe not love it so much. but fun fact: watterson have it so that only the comic is legal, every t-shirt or logos used from the comic is then actually ilegal (this picture included)
