Did you know that the story about crabs going extinct was not actually a scientific study, but rather was a thesis that cited only one example for it's hypothesis and then made subjective claims as to why?

As it turns out, there is no real evidence that pubic lice (crabs) are going extinct, however it is true that keeping your pubes shaved does nearly eliminate your risk for contracting them.

Please, rephrase that last part. Shaving the pubic region is a horrible, horrible, idea.
Keep it trimmed, yes. But shaving causes irritation and abrasions. The constant friction, dirt, bacteria, sweat and other workings going on down there make irritated skin a perfect formula for infection.

Why would I change a fact? Pubic lice require hair in order to live, without that hair they cannot. It doesn't mean everyone needs to go do it, but it is a true statement.

I'm not saying to change it. I'm suggesting to reword it. Simply because effective trimming has the same lice prevention capabilities as shaving, without the risk of infection.

But why would it be a bad thing if they were. Its like saying "oh no, fleas are dying out, we must infect everyone to keep them alive!"

Holy crap, I'm unbanned somehow. No one said it's a good thing they aren't extinct, I just said that they aren't.

I was told that if you didn't have pubes, the lice would instead burrow in to your skin, which I'm sure you would agree is much worse

...Seriously? That's like saying regular lice will burrow into the heads of bald people.
