am i the only one who doesnt think this is a bad idea? i mean think about
it if people have chips in them finding a missing person would be as simple as imputing some code and
bringing up a location, .. same with child abductions and what not,,, its also pushing humanity into the
futue possibly to something greater,,, there are It million people in the US its not like they' re going to
track our every movement that would just be rediculous, .. but it is a safety precaution and a very easy
one at that

Didn't count for 293 million others.

User avatar #102 to #16 - scarypurplemonster (04/13/2013) [-]
It's actually more around 320 million people.

do you really think it would have made a difference in the argument?
User avatar #4 to #3 - namdelliks (04/12/2013) [-]
Not this exact one, but it would increase the price almost 43 times the amount than if it was only 7 million.

While I respect the quote, it actually goes against a lot of the philosophy of the times that the founding fathers, Ben included, adhered to. A guy named Mr. John Locke, essentially the philosopher a lot of classicism was based off of, claimed that every man had natural rights and government was only there to protect those rights. However, this ideal is very unrealistic because a government can't be formed without the giving up of some rights. Therefore, based on Lockian philosophy, a person has to give up some freedom for the protection of others.

TL;DR Good quote, but the man telling it is a hypocrite based on his philosophy

a quote from an old and famous guy doesnt make the quote true
just saying

And you have absolutely no idea how the world works. The government can and would find a way to maliciously use this to invade people's privacy. Ever heard of the patriot act? I don't know if you know this or not, but that's sort of their track record. Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter. Their all twats.

There's a reason it's a longstanding, famous quote, and why it's true.

For the greater good.
Like many atrocities that have occurred...

airports, police, government, laws, rules. You have to sacrifice some stuff in order for society to function properly.
Maybe sacrificing the right to murder people isn't such a bad idea

I think it's more privacy than freedom.

I'm going to assume that you're talking about the guy who forgot this quote, OP:

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither. - Benjamin Franklin"

And not the guy who sincerely believes in his own religion. Because the other thing would make you a hypocritical asshole, and I don't like to assume bad things about people I don't know.

If they really wanted to and knew where it was put they could probably remove it if careful

Just remember, if you think the government is going too far, just join them. Then you can at least be a henchman for when they take over the world and enslave the entire planet.

There's something in the Bible about the mark of the beast being imprinted on humans, that's why that guy associated the chip tracker technology with the mark of the beast.

Even disregarding religion, it's a bad idea, I don't believe the government should have so much control or knowledge over its population and their whereabouts, especially considering investing trust in the government is essentially investing trust in a few individuals who make decisions for the country. No thanks. Put it on dangerous criminals maybe, but not petty criminals or the general populace.

A brand that is burnt into the palm or head. You're supposed to be able to see the mark. You can't see a chip implanted in someone.
