This kid literally pulled out his I-Pad and played grand theft auto on it for like 35 mins before the teacher caught him, she was so oblivious to the fact that he had a giant ******* i-pad out and we aren't allowed to have them at our school...

Schools that have overly strict polices on technology are ******* stupid. My view (not that it matters. i'm out of school) is that as long as it is being used for class work and is not distracting it should be permitted.

Well the only tech I use during class is my ipod shuffle, and that's only when we do work in class not when the teacher's talking, it helps me concentrate on my work instead of background noise.

I agree with that, when I was in school I listened to music with permission and did far better. The current education is to hard-edged. They need to realize that not everyone learns or understands the same as everyone else. The day they realize this and make changes is the day test scores start improving and the drop out rate decreases.

Yeah, but the reason why most schools have this strictness is because of the fact that most students use their phones/etc. for Facebook, YouTube, and other social networking sites

I agree completely.

I would literally just take my notebook and place it on my lap, leaning on my desk like I was taking notes then be on my iPod touch every class
