I couldn't bring myself to play this game for very long when I learned about its ******** morality system.
You get all of these cool, neat powers and gadgets that you can use to murder the **** out of anyone, but if you kill too many people, you're given a bad ending.
You can just tell that it was shoehorned in at the last minute because they didn't want people crying out that the game was nothing more than a murder simulator, so they had to have some penalty for having fun while playing the game.

I think it's kind of nice that the game gives you all these cool weapons and powers and deciding to use them for good really says something about the player. You can hack and slash in almost any modern first person game, but having the choice to do different was planned and I'm glad they did it.

the "bad" ending isn't really bad it just that the outcome is darker

*spoilers from here on dude*

Like the bad ending is like you still save the girl and **** but she is sorta corrupted and likes killing kind off because of you, and there is even a possibility for her to die and there is still an ending, which is the darkest ending

The worst ending is the only one where Corvo lives so its not that bad.

i suggest playing two campaigns side by side and do a mission once non-lethal and once as a murderer

I never got this far, but a friend of mine told me that killing some kind of creature (Weepers, I think he called them?) increases the spread of the plague, despite the fact that these things do nothing BUT spread the plague. So killing them causes the plague to spread even more, while knocking them out apparently stops them from doing such things.

How the hell is that realistic?

no one is stopping you dude... at one point you have to go to a party and act natural and try to get the party host alone so you can kill her or knock her out... i didn't have the patients so i brutally murdered every single person in the party

I waited for two of the sisters to be close to each other, and they happened to be in a crowd, so I grenaded the **** out of 20 people.

Dude that's literally my favorite mission because what I did was, I killed the target silently, killed her sisters silently, and I have the power where the people disappear with their silent deaths, so I proceeded to kill everyone until it was just me, and not a single alarm was raised that day.

Let's be honest, if Corvo couldn't blink, Dishonored would be a lot tougher.

That would honestly be a fun challenge. Play Dishonored and try to get the good ending without being able to blink other than when you first get the power and must use blink.

no one says you have to blink...the game CAN be beaten without using blink...but if you want to perform a ghost playthrough you're in for a long playthrough observing patrol routes and timing your movements.

Does anyone else feel like Dishonored is a bit too similar to BioShock 2? I played Dishonored first and just recently got BS2, and:

Plasmids = Powers; multiple types, functions, upgrade them.
Guns/tools in BS2 = Guns/tools in Dishonored; upgrades, different kinds.
Gene Tonics = Bone Charms.
Different endings depending on whether or not you kill a lot of Little Sisters/people.

And then the whole story is very linear. Obviously they have their own differences like being more focused on stealth or what not, but the more and more that I play of BioShock 2 the more Dishonored seems like it was recycled and just tweaked for a different story and play style.
