Why the **** do I need an excuse for not working out?
My so called excuse is "I was born into a country of freedom and thus, as I am not bound by law, I do not have to work out if I do not wish to."

These kinds of things frustrate me just a little.

Those kind of **** aren't aimed at you. It's aimed at the people who want to start training but it's always not the right time cause they are tired, or an exam is comming up or they need to call their mom, or...

People who are born into a country that is free. Where they don't have to struggle to survive and could do or be anything they want and choose to waste their potential by being lazy...

These kinds of things frustrate me just a little
User avatar #46 to #42 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (04/10/2013) [-]
That doesn't make any sense.
I don't want to exercise, that doesn't mean I'm lazy or wasting my potential, it means I don't want to ******* exercise because I don't need or want to.
#47 to #46 - sloot (04/10/2013) [-]
you dont strive for anything physically, you are content achieving nothing and never improving your body... thats fine I guess but IMO that is no way to live. Every day I try and make my self better... I guess we are just two different types of people
User avatar #49 to #47 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (04/10/2013) [-]
Not achieving anything physically isn't achieving nothing.
You see, I am a man of knowledge, my potential is to gain knowledge and give it to others, I don't seek physical perfection, I seek mental perfection.
#54 to #49 - sloot (04/10/2013) [-]
I strive to be successful. And successful people realize they have to work hard at everything. Be it college, working out, chores, relationships, ETC. You cant pick a few things in life to try hard at... One of my favorite quotes is "how can you expect to run a fortune 500 company someday, If you can't even clean the house correctly?...
User avatar #56 to #54 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (04/10/2013) [-]
I don't strive to be successful, I strive to learn and give my knowledge to all. I don't care about my appearance or fitness or if I die alone in comparison to my desire to gain and give knowledge.

You sir are a scholar are you a scholar? That guy is on his own path to what he perceives as happiness and you on your own. I just hope you both great success. Also sloot, you kind of seem like a pushy asshole in this thread, you may not be, but...yeah...js.
#91 to #78 - sloot (04/10/2013) [-]
I don't have the right to judge people for how they live their lives. Like we both stated this is America. You can sit on your ass all day on welfare if you really want to. I just was expressing frustration with that guy's attitude. There are endless situations in many categories where people are like "I know I should probably be doing this because it will be beneficial to my well-being, but no one is making me do it and I don't have to so screw it...". Those things HONESTLY take the smallest, most pathetically minuscule amount of will power and effort to accomplish... who doesn't have an hour to work out every day? for the last year I worked full time and went to college full time and still never missed a workout... You know it is good for you, it will help you live longer, it will help you meet more attractive women so why not just beat the mental block and GET OFF YOUR ASS? Guess what? a lot of time I have many responsibilities that I don't want to do when I wake up either... but I can't just say " **** it, I live in America..." I do what I know is beneficial to me. And the reason I may seem like an "Ass Hole" is because I used to be exactly like that. No ambition, constantly making excuses, when I got confronted about my reasoning I always convinced myself I was correct no matter what. If I got in trouble it was the "Corrupt nature of the establishment" or "BS rules than don't make sense". I just want people of this generation to finally wake up and realize that success is out there. You just have to want it more than anything else in your life. And that requires discipline in all aspects of your life... I'm so tired of seeing how negative people are today... just decide to make a change and get yours! Nothing is free, everything is earned...

tl;dr something about pokemon or tits
User avatar #96 to #91 - thegamerslife (04/10/2013) [-]
>assuming people like me and edwardnigma are just sitting on our asses collecting welfare/also, shaming the use of welfare system...
>Expecting people to have free time, without knowing their life/situation.
>acting like you are better cause YOU had time for it why not us.
>I'm engaged...your women argument is invalid.
>key terms: America, free, etc.
>acting like the current system of education doesn't down play independent habits.
>You're right, I earned food stamps cause I made the effort to go to DSH to get it, and I "got mine" and choose to eat jerky bought with that food stamp card while i read this.

>tl:dr I'm in the middle of sapphire right now, good game.

I would like to throw this in there: Me and my family do sort of have to struggle to survive, with high rent and food prices, feeding a house of 6 people while having to pay over 400 bucks a week in rent is some serious **** , because we don't get enough money for that **** , because my cousins won't find jobs, my sister can't seem to find one, my mother and aunt can't work and I have school **** to attend to and focus on.

Being born free doesn't mean I'm born privileged. I simply have more rights than most other place. Some day, though, I will gain enough money to live comfortably and probably to help people not be in the same situation. It's pretty **** and I don't want others to live the same. Also I live in Australia, not America, if thats relevant.
#115 to #96 - sloot (04/10/2013) [-]
dude I am not trying to be a dick... I am trying to inspire people. To make some of the changes I was able to make from when I was fat and lazy. If it upsets you then I am sorry but it really took me minimal effort to change my life. All it took was some small things and dedication every day
User avatar #118 to #91 - EdwardNigma ONLINE (04/10/2013) [-]
Success can vary from person to person however. Success is money to some, physical perfection, having a nice family, it varies.

I would call success as fulfilling your dream, and that is exactly what I plan to do. I don't give a **** about so called attractive women, If I was to get a girlfriend, it would be someone who likes me for me and I like them for them, not looks. I do not believe working out to be beneficial to me compared to other things. If it makes you feel any better, I go for an odd walk down to the beach with my sister and cousins, which is something.

And as I stated below, I do not live in America, I live in Australia.

i could be mistaken but it looks shopped to me, the leg of his shorts where the "missing leg" is at isn't hanging loose it is filled out as if there is a leg in them which is why i think it looks shopped. again i could be wrong and if i am i apologize
