Good for fucking you. You managed to criticize other people's artwork to make yourself look smart. Regardless it bared the Nazi flag, and, was a historical moment of that era. You asshole.

i sometimes wonder, sitting here all safe and secure, what it would be like to be running out of one of those boats on D-Day, running out of the boat while being barraged in a hail of gunfire. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to be a part of D-Day, i imagine it would have been terrifying.

My grandpa was part of D-Day. Dad told me and my siblings to never bring it up in front of granddad because he would start to sob really hard. A few years back my dad told me what his dad told him years ago. My dad said for grandpa it was like a horrible nightmare of death where everyone around you had a life span of only a few minutes and the water near the coastline was turned blood red. He was walking over corpses and limbs and the only two things he heard were gunfire, mines exploding, and the screams of those dying in agony.

That's all grandad passed on to my father. He only discussed it once and never talked about it ever since. I realized that just the fact alone that he's been pushing the memory back into his brain to forget it all speaks volumes of how traumatizing it was. I have deep respect for my grandpa for pushing forward to survive in a harrowing time like that.
