Don't use the argument HUURD DURR criminals will always find away to get illegal guns anyway. Heroin is a drug that is illegal and people can still get it doesn't mean we shouldn't make it illegal. Take away guns and the death rate will diminish. Eg (Australia.) Stop being ignorant bastards and take away your pride. You're not protecting anyone; make some small steps and rid your household of weapons. "A burglar into your house with a gun and steals some jewellery. If you have a gun and raise it at him he kills both your wife and your baby and you kill him. Worth iT. no.

>Implying Gun Ownership can be compared to Heroin use.

No criminal has ever gotten a benefit I wanted from smoking heroin, or pimping. Guns on the other hand, empower the citizenry, and empowers criminals. To legislate it away gives criminals an upper hand since they.....do .....not.....follow....laws.

If guns could indeed be legislated away, why do police have them? ^.- Why do police have all manner of efficient killing machines stored away in their trunks? What resistance do they expect?

You can choose to disarm, to not carry...... but you don't have the right to tell others what amount of protection they are entitled to. If the criminal walks into your house to take the Jewelry, you're probably ****** if he has a gun and you don't.

It's much better to have one and not need one, than to need one and not have one.

Also, the solution isn't taking guns away.

It's educating people on how to handle and safely store their guns so their crazy kids can't get a hold of them and shoot up their school.

you seem to think crazy people actually are dogs with rabies, no they are just as cunning, smart (or even smarter) as anyone else, but sooner or later they snap, and they do whatever necessary to get what they want, and use it how they want.

Educating ain't working when your ******* schools got so many problems that people think guns will solve them, but I' almost stopped caring, I almost feel like laughing next time I hear about your shootings.

It's not just about protecting yourself.

The right to bear arms was put in place to enable the American people to overthrow their govenrnment should it turn into some totalitarian/overly corrupt ******** .

Getting rid of guns only gives the government more leverage to do what it wants without having to worry about the regular citizens being able to do anything.
User avatar #461 to #148 - imofcnotharveydent (04/02/2013) [-]
you already can't do **** :

1. your government got you chasing the one problem after the other, without any focus on actually helping you. Every one just want their piece of the pie, **** the people, give them crumbles.

2. You really think a couple of guns will help much If there was a war against your government, they control your ******* army, they'd probably nuke your arses without breaking a sweat.

3. Taking away the guns might even give the government more leverage to help you, but no they are so corrupt I'll just keep my nice and shiny gun
#137 to #135 - miklthepikl (04/02/2013) [-]
wait. i've got it. we'll just make murder illegal. that'll drop the death rate right guys? right?
#138 to #137 - Shisa (04/02/2013) [-]
Try killing 23 school students with a knife. ? Difficult? yea.
User avatar #190 to #138 - iamkagji (04/02/2013) [-]
Relatively easy, actually. They are much easier to draw and conceal, so you could get into a classroom and kill as may as possible before moving on. No gunshot means that you have more time before full scale panic, which also makes it easier to get away.
#462 to #190 - imofcnotharveydent (04/02/2013) [-]
yeah, I'd like to see your wimpy ass pull that off when the bully of the class smacks a chair down your throat.

I don't get it, a gun is more efficent than a knife,
a gun is more efficent than a car (in most cases) but at least a car got more uses.
your fists does neither count you cant kill very many with those compared to a gun.

give me any argument you got. I'll shoot it down in flames on the subject that guns are good.
#140 to #138 - miklthepikl (04/02/2013) [-]
hard? sure. impossible? gods no. remember that crazy bastard who fought WWII with a broadsword and his bagpipes? and had upwards of 50 kills?

i do have to ask, since you seem so knowledgable on the subject, can you name 5 mass shooters in recent years that haven't been on antipsychotic meds, or a fun cocktail of prescription drugs? i mean, theres a common factor there as well, outside of the gun factor

pic somewhat related
User avatar #149 to #140 - imofcnotharveydent (04/02/2013) [-]
bwahahhahaha, like to see the common crazy asshole killing people with a broadsword, meeting resistance by a horde of people also carrying broadswords and we would get a massive blood orgy for the fox news to film and show kinder gardeners.
#142 to #140 - Shisa (04/02/2013) [-]
Ofcourse that is a common factor, But if the mother didn't have a ******* AR-15 lying in her house i doubt killing 23 students wouldn't be of such ease. jeez man. It's not difficult.
#147 to #142 - miklthepikl (04/02/2013) [-]
and if she followed the law and kept it locked in a gun safe, it wouldn't be a problem. the responsibility and blame lay as much on the stupid mother as on the asshole kid. what you're suggesting is basically taking away all cars because 1 in 1000 who own a car kill someone with it. theres no reason to punish everyone because of a few bad eggs.

on a somewhat related note, who the **** takes a mentally unstable kid to rifle lessons? thats just asking for trouble.
#153 to #147 - imofcnotharveydent (04/02/2013) [-]
a few bad eggs? when 1 ******* egg can kill a carton of eggs why not? Isn't all the eggs worth anything to you? just so you can keep your damn guns? guns are inventions created solely to kill other living beings be it animals or humans, whats there to keep. we have to start somewhere, and I'm not all that for banning guns, but you have to limit that **** .
#154 to #153 - miklthepikl (04/02/2013) [-]
And a car can't? last few fatal crashes in my area ended up with at least half a dozen dead each, mostly all from drunk/texting drivers.
also, please note how far and few between these mass killings are in the grand scheme of things. they barely ever happen.
I'm all for making guns harder to get, with longer waiting periods and actual background checks, but do you honestly think that will stop anyone determined enough to get one? the only thing that differentiates a replica gun from an actual gun is the firing pin. any asshole can get their local mexican to place one in there, and wham, you've got a working gun. just food for thought.

fact is, even if made illegal or hard to get through legal channels, its a cakewalk to find one once you go downtown and get friendly with the local scumbags.

but, its two in the morning, so i guess im signing out.

you don't get it do ya?
cars are useful! you can drive through half the ******* world with a good car, a good gun doesn't do anything but give you a few dead people or holes on a target practice.

**** man, if you dont like it, feel free to go to norway, they run things mostly the same, sans guns.

I live in Norway, Trondheim.
Feel free to come visit when you've grown tired of guns,

lucky you. unfortunately, america is so saturated with guns that the only way to feel remotely safe is to own one so you're somewhat fairly armed for an altercation. not that i dont like it here. pistols are great.

i might swing by when i get tired of my perfect los angeles weather and fancy some sleet and snow though
#161 to #159 - imofcnotharveydent (04/02/2013) [-]
catch ya, the whole "ban guns in america will work" is a joke, but a few things could be done to stop the mass production of guns and weapons which can be use on other things.

stop by in January next year and you should get some decent snow ;3 (rest of the year it's quite ****** weather.) (just bring money, it god damn expensive here)
