I don't think that's a problem for the african third world countries, as their black. They already don't do their homework here.

If it's magic homework think about how much more ******* difficult it is,
Teacher: Okay kids i want you to go and find a ******* 8 HEADED-FIRE BREATHING LIZARD and collect an urine sample
User avatar #30 to #1 - ipaintmyfloor (03/29/2013) [-]
But it's much more easier with magic.
#17 to #1 - anon (03/29/2013) [-]
better then pre-cal
#71 to #1 - anon (03/29/2013) [-]
It wouldn't be "an urine sample", it would be "a urine sample" because urine is kinda pronounced like "Yur-in" and Y isn't a vowel. Just like 'hour' isn't 'a hour', it's 'an hour.' The H doesn't change the fact it's pronounced like "our".
Ill accept my red thumbs now.
#26 to #1 - anon (03/29/2013) [-]
magic is like theoretical science without 90% of the complex math and you usually see immediate result.

Yeah but it's all hand-written with quil pens/feathers and your normally expected to do like 200 words on the properties of wolfsbane or something.

Plus for them magic would be a very basic and boring thing.
User avatar #11 to #8 - YippieKiYay (03/29/2013) [-]
Not for muggleborns!
User avatar #101 to #8 - deathstare (03/29/2013) [-]

User avatar #45 to #12 - Furubatsu (03/29/2013) [-]
J.K stated on Pottermore that the wizarding comunity is very closed of from the muggle world. A lot of them are sort of in a middle-ages limbo of technology. They still have indoor plumbing and the Hogwarts express was a beyond revolutionary and contraversial thing in it's day.
#86 to #12 - fisken (03/29/2013) [-]
actually,also,independently- they use magic quil's to prevent students from cheating and sutch

They had to write many essays with quills and thin-ass parchment paper.

I never understood why they couldn't use technology like EVERYONE else on the planet

According to the books Muggle tech (Computers, calculators, pretty much anything electronic) just wouldn't work around Hogwarts. Something about a magic field (kind like an electromagnetic field) that shorts out our tech.
Now guns, guns would have worked. They were afraid Sirus was going to kill Harry in the school with a gun during the third book. Could you imagine if the students used magic for shields while the other students just opened up with a bunch of machine guns and rifles? Battle of Hogwarts would have been very different.

they could really have used to have a simple cell at some times: hey dumbledore i'm like trapped in the basement, and uhm can you come and help me? theres this huge bassilisk and oh voldemort is here too maybe you would want to help a bit?

I never understood why wizards don't use any type of muggle technology. like the final battle would've been so much easier if they did, just **** hogwarts up with bombs and boom, Voldemort the new big wizard man.
#28 to #19 - lovelyponyrarity (03/29/2013) [-]
i think he would consider the muggle technology below him.
User avatar #47 to #19 - gandalfthered (03/29/2013) [-]
muggle weapns are purely physical, basiccaly you can just wingardium leviosa an atomic bomb, you cant do that against a sceptum sempra or any of the forbidden spells.
User avatar #21 to #19 - negitivzero (03/29/2013) [-]
I always figured that non magic attacks are easily defended against with magic.
User avatar #22 to #21 - BizzarreCoyote (03/29/2013) [-]
I think the books actually state that a muggle with a gun is far stronger than a wizard ever will be. If not in the books, then Rowling herself said it. I just need to find the source.
User avatar #34 to #22 - Fade (03/29/2013) [-]
I think you're thinking of something Rowling said in an interview or something. She said that in a war between muggles and the wizarding world, muggles would eventually win because wizards are very ignorant of muggle technology, plus there's a lot less of them. Of course there are a lot of things to take into account, but yeah, that's the gist of it.
User avatar #37 to #19 - izzygirl (03/29/2013) [-]
I believe there was something about muggle technology not working within the school grounds.
And the ones that were raised segregated from muggles didn't understand the technology, hence why Mr. Weasley was so fascinated by it all.

Precisely. I hate tumblr in general because most, MOST, of the users are swaggots/teenage girls posting pictures of dream relationships and **** . BUT amongst that putrid content lies some pretty funny stuff. And we have a team of FJers willing to find it and deliver it right to our front door. Who can complain to that?
