We in Sweden are completely terrified of people we don't know. If there is not a free seat on the bus we rather stand than sit near a stranger and the same goes for waiting on the bus. You could say that we are a little shy or something like that..

I talked to you, are you going to rape me now? Please don't!
User avatar #85 to #75 - hahahahahahah (03/28/2013) [-]
Well then I'd be a perfect fit in Sweden lol. Not the being terrified, I just hate standing around random people.
User avatar #83 to #75 - klavi (03/28/2013) [-]
One time when I was waiting for the bus back home from work, this rather cute girl who was also waiting started talking to me out of no-where. She wasn't trying to come on to me or anything she just wanted to chat and was really extrovert, and I thought: "Faith in Scandinavians restored"
Nothing like it has ever happened since...
#74 to #71 - thelivinggun (03/28/2013) [-]
In Scandinavia people are so disgustingly shy and ignorant that when people wait for the bus they stand as for from each other as possible. It's so annoying that won't say "hi" back when you'd greet them in the morning, for example. Only thing i hate about living in Sweden.

Pic related, shy and ignorant people are hitler

Just to shed some light on the first two..... back in the day it was imperative you showed up on time, since there was a chance they would say **** it and go home. Now we have the ability to get a hold of them and explain why we're late. It truly is like flying or god mode, we have it why not use it?

Kind of the same thing with phone calls, there was more excuses why someone wouldn't answer the phone. ^^ Hell some people didn't even have voicemail or caller id, this **** could be they quite literally carry a communication device that records the time, tone, and urgency of the call.....if they don't answer in a few hours chances are they probably do hate you.
User avatar #53 to #52 - reginleif ONLINE (03/28/2013) [-]
Honestly I think all of these examples can be chalked up to necessity of the past, and the advantages we have now. xD

I would play pokemon at a wedding if i was alive 30 years ago and that **** existed, we all probably would.

Honestly, I think people are too reliant on their phones.

My cousin believes he "NEEDS" Netflix, and youtube, and facebook on his cell phone, and gets pissed off at anyone who claims that people are too reliant on technology. Turns into a ******* MONKEY if his phone goes missing.

I don't have a phone and I'm living life just fine.....
User avatar #58 to #55 - mynameislego (03/28/2013) [-]
while i agree on your thoughts about your cousin and the effect its had on him...get yourself a phone, doesn't have to be a smart phone or one on a plan. just get a pre-paid and carry it with you or leave it in a car glove box turned off and only use it when necessary. it's a good thing to have incase of an emergency and it'll cost you like 20$ to set up.
User avatar #59 to #58 - Ottovan (03/28/2013) [-]
I have an emergency phone, of course.

But I don't text or anything like that. Hardly touch it
User avatar #18 - srskate (03/28/2013) [-]
1st: ******** , that isn't a consequence of the phone, its a consequence of you having ****** friends
2nd: verse, same as the first, except now you are the ****** person.
3rd: I've done the latter before. People are usually incredibly helpful.
4th: slightly legitimate, more info needed to rebut.

What have we antisocial generation dependent on social media for instant interaction...looks like we lost our patience. The one thing that's probably the gamechanger.
