SO if I have a AK-47 or a M16A3 they won't be counted as assault rifles if they are semi-auto adjusted?

if it can be fired fully auto it is an assault weapon. If it only has a semi auto function, then it's just a rifle. The Ar-15 is just a rifle with the same functionality as a semi-auto rifle your grandpa keeps upstairs, albeit it looks scarier.

You mean completely unnecessary guns for the civilian population to have? I mean I definitely am against banning guns completely but c'mon, anyone outside of the military buying auto weapons is either such a terrible shot that they shouldn't be holding a gun in the first place, a CoD faggot-type that just does nothing but reads related **** all day long in the hopes that they can show off their useless knowledge to some poor unsuspecting soul, or someone wanting to go on a shooting spree.

A semi-auto is all you need for hunting or just keeping in your house for safety.
#251 to #167 - anon

(03/24/2013) [-]
First off basically nobody in America has a full auto weapon. Second why just because you haven't been in the military means that you're a bad shot if you want a full-auto? For someone who is trying to sound like such a expert here you come across as being extremely arrogant and extremely ignorant about guns.
#255 to #251 - hydraetis

(03/24/2013) [-]
The first reason to buy a gun is for hunting, and if you need to use an automatic gun to hunt, then you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. You should be able to kill anything with a semi if you're going to hunt.

Uhh, no for most people's guns are primarily for protection, hunting is just a bonus.

An assault weapon is semi-automatic, an assault rifle is not. Assault rifles should be banned, but i don't think assault weapons should be

Hey man, assault rifles are select fire, meaning they can go from full auto to semi. They're machine guns and new machine guns were banned in 1986 under the hughes amendment

You're retarded, assault rifles are banned from the general public. These "assault weapons" are really just basic semi-automatic weapons with a nice paint job. It's a made up term you see.

They take into consideration religious, racial, and other items that can have freedom in it.
IIRC, it was also NZ (or Australia?) that was rated the most Muslim nation/country with regards to the freedom and peace that matched with the Quran (the peaceful parts, anyway); whereas the stupid cunts in the Middle East actually rated one of the lowest world wide

There is no such thing as anarchy; if there is no ruler, a ruler shall be chosen. No matter what species, there shall always be a ruler. The question you must ask is this: would you rather have a king pin be a ruler, or would you rather elect him.
