Dear 12 year olds,

No one gives a **** what you have to say.
No, seriously... whether you're 12, 18, 21, 36, or 57 NO ONE cares what you have to say...

Dear Vegans,

Plants are living breathing things just like animals are. They are actually MORE BENEFITIARY than animals are.... You ******* hypocrites. Find me a Vegan who doesn't eat NY LIVING THING. NO PLANTS, NO ANIMALS, Then I'll listen to what you have to say

Found the vegan.

uhhh I'm not a vegan?

It's a joke man.

Lol sorry. As you can see below I've been dealing with some less-than-intelligent people today lol

a subset of veganism
some fruitarians eat only fallen fruit (like drinking milk, it's not really killing) and not eating the seeds (as they contain future plants)

so with that, some fruitarians live a death free diet (then again, so does anyone on a meat only diet, cause meat is dead, not alive)

however, a fruitarian diet can cause deficiencies in calcium, protein, iron, zinc, vitamin D, most B vitamins (especially B12), and essential fatty acids...this is a high contrast to plain veganism which just has vitamin B12 deficiency
because of this it is detrimental to live with this diet for too long, not recommended for teens, and completely unsuitable for kids

oh and veganims runs on the concept of sentiocentrism so, as long as a vegan doesn't get the idea that plants have feeling or intelligence (with that in, it wouldn't be a quick death like slaughtered animals, cause plants are still alive after plucked, chewed, and dieing slowly by gastric acid)

Which plants have you been smoking? Since when to plants breathe!? :)

You're ******* joking, right...?

Wait, what? - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breathing

Plants don't breathe! Don't know why you think that! Maybe you are confused with respiration or photosynthesis which both require chemicals from air.
User avatar #131 to #130 - oottovann (03/24/2013) [-]
You've got to be ******* kidding me...

This is 1st grade knowledge..

Plants Breathe Carbon Dioxide and exhale Oxygen... THAT'S HOW WE GET OUR AIR! THE ARI THAT YOU ARE BREATHING RIGHT NOW.
User avatar #138 to #131 - Rockaman ONLINE (03/24/2013) [-]
Plants take in Carbon Dioxide by diffusion through pores called ventricles for use in the Calvin Cycle. The CO2 is required for Carbon Fixation to turn the 5 carbon molecule ribulose bisphosphate into a 6 carbon compound which is used as a energy storage molecule.

Breathing is the mechanical mechanism to draw air into a animal's lungs for use in Respiration so atmospheric oxygen can be used in various respiration cycles.

As breathing can only be achieved with lungs, only certain animals actually 'breathe' QED.

They Breathe.

Just not like we do.

But it's called "Breathing"
User avatar #142 to #139 - Rockaman ONLINE (03/24/2013) [-]
Nope, it's not breathing at all. It's just the diffusion of CO2 into their cellular structure.

Definition of breathing from the Oxford English Dictionary: 'The process of taking air into and expelling it from the lungs'

Anyone can copy and paste, that doesn't make you smart.
Sure it's not the exact same thing as breathing but it's the same ******* concept.
Stop being such a pretentious prick, it's not getting you anywhere.
User avatar #149 to #147 - Rockaman ONLINE (03/24/2013) [-]
Yes, anyone can copy and paste, but quoting is how proper arguments are presented, at least by A-Level/Degree level.

And no, it is not at all the same concept, people confuse the two but breathing is the mechanical action that brings in oxygen for the use in respiration. Plants acquire CO2 via diffusion for use in photosynthesis - two very different processes.

And thanks for the insult, that will not get you anywhere either I'm afraid.
#155 to #149 - Kanoah (03/24/2013) [-]
Just shut the **** up, it's evident that you're the only retard pushing this concept
User avatar #153 to #149 - youknowwhothisis (03/24/2013) [-]
We breathe in order for oxygen to be distributed throughout our body so that our muscles, as well as our brain, can use it to function.
Plants absorb CO2 to use it during photosynthesis in order to produce energy for the plant to function.
Different process, same concept.
and thank you for basically repeating what I said at the end, you have been so original throughout your entire "argument" I could only dream of being as smart as you one day.
Get your own brain.
User avatar #160 to #153 - Rockaman ONLINE (03/24/2013) [-]
Hell, by that trail of thought both eating and breathing are the same concept...

And I do have my own brain thank you very much, I was reusing your statement as a form of satire.

Also why do you have to turn a discussion into a flame war? From me explaining scientific terminology you have decided to outright insult me which is pretty childish.

Dude, you lost. It's over.
User avatar #162 to #160 - youknowwhothisis (03/24/2013) [-]
