>Be 20 years old
>Working in Mcdonalds
>Fat guy that appears to be in his late 20's early 30's approaches counter
>Holds the line up behind him to try and exchange his mlp toy
>Proceeds to argue for 5 minutes with me when I have orders to take
>He doesn't like the toy he got because he already has it
>Finally find a toy to exchange it with
>Leaves the counter

I was ******* terrified at the fact someone could do something like this in public especially a grown man. Not rying to cause a ********* but this **** doesn't look normal and makes you look really weird

In America, we don't have a word for it, just a term "Second-hand embarrassment"
It's when you see someone shamelessly humiliating themselves and feel embarrassed for them.
That is what I feel every time I hear a story about this

The whole point of not getting the toy you want is so that they are forced to buy another happy meal and netting McDonalds more profit by having some 0.003 cent toy made in a factory in China drive obsessed people insane with 'gotta have them all' fever. Which is why McDonalds never asks which specific toy you want in the meal, it is randomized.

Wow, in my country they always ask what toy you want.

Its better to kick annoying cunts out the store instant to serve them. It saves a lot of time for the other customers which are willing to pay and accept the service at it is.

Remember, you only can do it if you have your private shop/restaurant etc. or your boss allows you.

But if you kick too much customers and earn nothing you definitely doing something wrong...

It's a binding contract the second I hand you my money. If I get what I ordered, and it at least appears to be fresh, I won't complain even if it tastes like **** . It's what I ordered, I just don't have a personal taste for it obviously.

However... If my order is wrong (I'm one ******* person, it's not that hard), it's a total ******* wreck, cold, obviously not fresh, or tastes like **** even though it was great the last time I ordered it, the store is going to regret the day they accepted my money to give me ****** service.

I'm hated at a couple of Taco Bells, because the food there used to be delicious, now I end up taking my order back up about 8 times out of 10, because there's practically nothing in the ******* tortilla/shell except 150 pounds of ******* lettuce. I didn't pay for ******* lettuce.

It's worth nothing however, I never do anything unethical like complain to get free food or a discount when my order wasn't wrong, people like that disgust me. I did once go too far and make a waitress cry at Buffalo Wild Wings, and I felt terrible and left a $40 tip.
#124 to #26 - John Cena (03/21/2013) [-]
There's a fine line between that. I expect to receive what i asked for since I payed for it. I know there are cases when it cannot be exact so the closest thing is alright with me. If it is messed up, there is no reason to bitch about it and demand that it be free or made again. I choose to tell the one who made it in a objective tone that it is wrong and then that is that. You assume that every person is a cunt when things get messed up when that is clearly not the case. Some of us do not overreact to small mistakes

There's a big gap between customers being entitled assholes and wanting to get what they pay for. A service provider should be grateful that anyone shows up at their restaurant, and willing to cater to their needs and desires within logical limits.

How else do you expect to keep people coming back? Don't want to treat customers well? Fine, go out of business.

Food service is one thing but customer service covers a wide veriety of different jobs and those of us that have to deal with customers who just complain just so they can get something for free or a better deal then they're entitled to would love to be able to tell some customers what we think of them

I never blame the person serving me food if it's burned or not made right.
I blame the people who made the food. It's not my waiter or waitress' fault that the kitchen placed toast burned on one side on my plate.
It's not my waiter/waitress' fault that my sister-in-law was served a virgin daiquiri that had been blended with a bottle cap.
As long as the waiter/waitress will remedy the problem, they will still get a good tip.

If you think we are not entitled AT ALL, you're in the wrong job, and it's, in 100% honesty, a mystery how you have lasted this long without hanging yourself. People do have a certain amount of entitlement when they spend money at an establishment.

If McDonald's wants to spend billions on their advertising campaign, my food HAD ******* BETTER look at least 60% like it did on TV. I have no qualms sending food back that looks like rushed **** . That's not what was promised to me on the commercial. Considering false advertisment is illegal, I am entitled to what is shown on the commercials.

User avatar #16 to #6 - nevrit (03/21/2013) [-]
It truly depends on the type of restaurant you work at and much much more. There are many both high and low class that serve what they serve and you get no choice in how it is done, even if it is simply asking to hold the pickles. Now in MOST instances, you are right in that places will change things up for you if it is within their means. Remember though, there are many places where this is simply not the case, and even some places have it so that you get what you get when you come in.
#141 to #16 - lollytool (03/22/2013) [-]
Not here there isn't. Here if you do it like that it'll just **** up your reputation, I've worked in a couple of restaurants so this I know.
User avatar #143 to #141 - nevrit (03/22/2013) [-]
I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying it really depends on which place you go to and it can also depend on the area it is in. In my opinion it is better to do what you can for the customer, but there are a lot of places have have set ways that have amazing reputations. Once again it depends on the place in question and sometimes the area of interest. Despite the fact that you've worked in many places, there are many more you have not. The type you've worked are mostly the norm, but there are exceptions.
#150 to #143 - lollytool (03/22/2013) [-]
Also varies from country to country I believe, here in Norway it wouldn't matter how good the food was, your reputation would go to hell simply due to bad customer service.
User avatar #151 to #150 - nevrit (03/22/2013) [-]
True, but remember.. just because your server won't dress your salad or chicken up the way you want does not necessarily mean bad service. You are right though, the country one is in does bear a significance as well.
#152 to #151 - lollytool (03/22/2013) [-]

User avatar #153 to #152 - nevrit (03/22/2013) [-]
