I don't think I could be hypnotized, but in the off chance I can be this is the reason why I never volunteer at hypnotism demonstrations. In the off chance I don't react how the hypnotist expects me to act.

you could probably if you allowed yourself to be, it's all about letting yourself be controlled.

I have the same opinion. I feel like I can't be hypnotized but I know I couldn't trust a completely truthful and unburdened me on stage. I got some ******* weird thoughts up in this noggin.

It's all a whole bunch of ******** . That's all planned ahead with actors. In actual hypnosis you go into a half-conscious, half-asleep state where suggestions are more easily accepted. You will know that you have been hypnotized, but you won't know the actual message that has been implanted. It's mostly used for getting over addictions, easing pain, getting past fears, etc. Common messages include things like "You do not need to smoke/do (insert drug here)/ etc.", "You can overcome this without (insert problem here)", etc. They can't make you think that people are on fire, or that they are a chicken, or anything like that.
