but what if the goverment gave him orders not to? But because he's on his deathbed now he's free to say without punishment

I don't think they could do much after he had told it.. Or maybe that's just how it would be in my country. I don't know how they would react over there. Seeing as you can sue people from just accidentally spilling coffee.

Giving away government secrets in america is punishable by life in a military prison as a traitor to the state, or secret assassination by military men (according to hollywood).
User avatar #68 to #67 - tylosaurus (03/20/2013) [-]
Yeah, that's what I suspected. I don't think obama would allow such a thing as millitary assasination though. I don't know, just doesn't seem like something he'd let them do.

Presidents are puppets, they don't actually run the country, the government controls them.

Well, I'm sure they have influence, but whatever. I'm not really that interested in their politics or the way they do things. I prefer how it is here.

that would've worked as a joke if the post simply said "armstrong" instead of also giving a first name.

If i was James Cameron on my deathbed i would say
"Something else was down there in the trench with me. I saw it. The cameras didnt. It wasnt human or fish. Whatever this, "thing" was, It looked hungry.......Very hungry"
User avatar #83 to #7 - localcatbarber (03/20/2013) [-]
For some reason, I completely misread James Cameron, and read it as David Cameron. Down there in the trench? Could he possibly be meaning the biggest down in the economy? And could this "thing" be a metaphor for the people? or.... Then I realized I'm an idiot.

I somehow always get excited when I hear the name "Leviathan"...I don´t even know why.
User avatar #29 to #21 - admiralen (03/20/2013) [-]
cause it sounds awesome
User avatar #30 to #29 - ljxjlos ONLINE (03/20/2013) [-]
That´s not even it, I´m just deeply fascinated by the concept of these creatures (seeing Leviathan as random, unknown Beasts of the Sea, not in the biblical sense)
User avatar #31 to #30 - admiralen (03/20/2013) [-]
theres many things called leviathan though, such as the creatures in mass effect (who are awesome, leviathan from supernatural and so on, its an epic word used for many epic creatures
User avatar #32 to #31 - ljxjlos ONLINE (03/20/2013) [-]
I don´t know about Mass Effect, I´m not a Gamer at all. But yeah, there are tons of awesome creatures called Leviathan. I´m thinking about a Storyline based on the concept of them, hoping to find motivation to write it down sometimes.

Have you heard about Pacific Rift? It´s going to be a movie, with Creatures thatn can be considered Leviathans, by del Torro (or how his name is written...the regisseur of Pans Labyrinth, Hellboy, etc)

Perhaps the most interesting thing to me about Neil Armstrong was his dislike of being famous.

Perhaps even more interesting is how great of friends he and Aldrin were despite Aldrin being the polar opposite in that regard.

If I were a crazy person, I would shoot up a school and shout out "Feinstein made me do it!" before killing myself.
