To people who thumb this up: Jesus fucking Christ, grab yourself out of your self-made sea of pessimism. Not everything is so bad in the world. The fact that you're sitting here reading this means that you are well-off enough to afford a computer and an internet connection, and have enough spare time to browse this site.

Let's look at a few of these quotes:

"Everything is getting worse" Okay, George, because no scientific advances have been made in the last century that have improved our quality of life...

"The system is rigged" I know quite a few people who have reached success through hard work. In most cases, if you work hard enough, you'll get over those hurdles.

"All teachers are incompetent" Umm... No. He's obviously never had a competent teacher, or was too goddamn distracted by his self-pity when he was in school to see those who were. That's like somebody with a bad back saying "All beds are uncomfortable."

"God doesn't care" Whatever you believe in, I think you'll agree that no person can say what any god cares about or doesn't care about. How would he know?

I know I'm ranting, but although I'm pessimistic quite often, I don't act like all is lost -- unless your life is truly fucked, you have no reason to act like life sucks.

Let's get some things straight:

There are good things and bad things in the world.
Life is luck of the draw.
You can work hard but there is a difference between a middle class white kid and Vietnamese immigrant. Hell, circumstance counts for a lot. Race doesn't really have anything to do with it, but for sake of example.
For the most part mankind and civilization are going down hill. Anyone who doesn't realize this is in denial.
Pessimism isn't healthy, but blind optimism is half of the reason nothing ever improves.

Life can really be shit for some of us, and really great for others.
Not everything is black and white.

I write this because this'll probably hit the front page. The "oh my gosh you guys are so negative life is great" people really annoy me. Everything aught to be taken into consideration. And its not like all of our lives are the same. At least thats what I think.

i just wish there were people who would actually DO something about it, meanwhile we have dictators all over and presidents trying to make the people happy and doing bad jobs of it.

I'm not afraid. Not even of being afraid.
I know what I'm doing, and I don't do it unless I do.
Everything is getting better.
Some people deserve to die is fine.
Money by definition is not worthless.
Yeah, but who the shit cares?
Unless you don't have kids or are a decent parent.
The system is rigged in your favour.
Again, who gives a shit?
You must have had terrible teachers, or been a terrible student.
And poeple should have accepted that at age ten, it's not a huge deal.
Only if you expect way too much.
They last as long as they need to.
All countries die
God Cares.
RAAAAAAAAHHHH.
