No worse than what other people are doing to it. I don't listen to christian music often, but I would much rather listen to rock than the alternatives. Skillet, Switchfoot, and Lifehouse are actually pretty good.

Skillet isn't so much a christian band, but a band of christians.

It irritates me when their fanbase relates every single ******* one of their songs to god.

I'm willing to admit they have a few songs about god, but not all of them.

John admits that his songs are about God and some aren't. He leaves them up to the listener to decide. He has said they are a Christian band too.

the songs can all be related to god because they are all about god.
that's the point of being a christian band.
but skillet is smart enough to put directly in their lyrics something like "god is great and powerful" so that they can appeal to a larger audience. that's one of the reasons why they are successful.
