I never quite understood how this movie was supposed to be scary. I think I was around 10 when I saw It and I recall just not quite grasping what I was supposed to be watching. I think I thought it was a really long P.S.A. for Stranger Danger.
I was typically one to get scared of everything (still am) but for some reason It flew right over my head.
User avatar #47 to #35 - greenwithenvy (03/19/2013) [-]
The book is a lot weirder/scarier I hear, like after the kids "Defeated" IT they all had sex with the bitch to keep their memories chained to the place or something
User avatar #62 to #47 - ButtonFly ONLINE (03/19/2013) [-]
Yeah, I figured that.
I heard that for any Stephen King movie that was out there, the book was at least 10X worse. I did not read IT but I have read enough of his works to decide that I don't want to live in Maine.
User avatar #63 to #62 - ButtonFly ONLINE (03/19/2013) [-]
I just noticed: I meant worse as in scarier and more disturbing, not bad.

to be honest i don't remember how old i was when i saw this movie (probably 8 or something) but I think i was easily scared...... :/

User avatar #52 to #50 - amberleafwoohoo (03/19/2013) [-]
well perhaps in the future one of the parents and the kid both needed a blood tranfusion, but then they did tests and found out that they weren't related.. they'd be like heartbroken and stuff.
User avatar #53 to #52 - sorrowofdaedalus (03/19/2013) [-]
Well, the whole blood-transfusion thing would sort of suck. I don't know about what show that is, but it looks like those guys are friends, so I'll assume they could call other guy, explain situation, get blood from son, and then be done with it.

I'm not really sure heartbreak is the right reaction to having raised and nurtured a child towards adulthood, regardless of its origins.

Unless it's from Africa.

Funny how people complain about the Big Bang Theory being repetitive but not about Friends.

User avatar #14 to #13 - DrBobsPatient (03/19/2013) [-]
seinfeld? really? Friends was pretty much just a laid back group of friends who didn't really have anything significant about them, other than they were just friends who did things that close friends would do. i never really watched seinfeld so i couldn't tell you a lot about how the two compare though
#15 to #14 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/19/2013) [-]
It's basically a show about nothing. Friends is a show about nothing too, though they focus on the friendship aspect.

Maybe because F.R.I.E.N.D.S are hilarious, and they are so not repetitive

#68 to #51 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/20/2013) [-]
Ther are people who find tBBT hilarious too. You ******* ********* are getting me tired. All you're ******* saying, all of you is "oh, I think Friends was more funny and not so repetitive" that's something people who watch tBBT could say about their show. I prefer Friends, but I'm not some blind **** who didn't see how repetitive the jokes got and how overused the characters and situations became too. SO **** YOU. All of you who are thumbing me down. And I hope you learn to think for yourselves.
#67 to #51 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/20/2013) [-]
Have you even watched an episode lately? I fear most of you are only basing your arguments in your good memories of the show.

Phoebe has to come up with something random and in the end of the series it's just stupid stuff that wouldn't even occur to a person with normal intelligence (don't tell me that's the character, because at the start of the series she's random true, but a well made and balanced character.

Joey is a complete retard whose level of intelligence would mean that he should've been prepared to change tires for the rest of his life. Also, at the beginning he was THAT dumb and it was more believable.

I could go on but I think you get my point now.
#59 to #51 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/19/2013) [-]
It's really funny how you don't see it. Know you should understand people who watch tBBT
#61 to #59 - Diablotheone (03/19/2013) [-]
Friends not only made me laugh through out my whole childhood, they taught me a lot of things, while BBT walks you through nerdy talk and lame puns or stuff like (Bazinga), it's sad how you like BBT over stuff like Friends, Seinfeld, Fraiser or stuff in those high class levels of comedy.
#66 to #61 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/20/2013) [-]
And please, don't say there aren't lame puns and repetitive jokes in Friends. Watch it again so you can see what I'm talking about. The first seasons, probably 12 and maybe even 3, where good. They even had strong emotional moments. But then it all went to **** and they repeated the same jokes over and over again and the characters became the same old joke repeated time and time again.
#65 to #61 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/20/2013) [-]
And also you're assuming things. I do not like tBBT. I prefer Friends. I too watched it in my childhood, it was my mother's favorite sitcom. But I do not let that blind me from the truth.
User avatar #7 to #5 - mrkanyeeast (03/19/2013) [-]
Friends had characters that were more likable, believable and most importantly relatable. It made up for it's repetitive nature. I personally didn't find Friends repetitive
#8 to #7 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/19/2013) [-]
It's funny how you say the characters were believable after they were o"overused" (I don't know the word). Like Joey, for example, was funny at first but then they made him a complete retard. And saying Friends isn't repetitive is like saying God of War isn't violent, come on.
User avatar #9 to #8 - mrkanyeeast (03/19/2013) [-]
There are some pretty stupid people who act worse then Joey. Especially in today's world. Also want to point out that I said I didn't find it so. It didn't matter to me if they did the same thing a bunch of times, I was interested in whatever they were doing. That's the point of a character. To care about them. Or to hate them. BBT on the other hand has characters that are practically black facing nerds, so if they do the same thing over and over again, my lack of interest in their characters makes me notice the repetitivness of the story a bit more. Than again, it's just what I think
#10 to #9 - selfdenyingbeggar (03/19/2013) [-]
I don't think so. Watch the show again. Joey gets retarded and it's not funny at that point. I don't see the difference between one show or the other other than "you liked the characters in one show better".
User avatar #26 to #10 - symustafa (03/19/2013) [-]
Friends make you genuinely care about the characters.
User avatar #11 to #10 - mrkanyeeast (03/19/2013) [-]
