Try donating plasma. They're a lot more lenient with donors there, and you can do it more often.

(I have a viral infection making it impossible to donate straight blood, but I can donate plasma twice a week)

I know that feel. I take blood thinners, so they don't want my blood either. I get blood drawn every week, but they just test it to regulate my medication, and then throw it away...

I don't know my blood type. Never thought about since I've been on blood thinners since I was six and giving blood has never been an option.

Well, I did have an open heart surgery when I was 8 months old, and another when I was six. Long story short, I was born with a ****** up heart and a slight spine malformation. You'd never be able to tell by looking at me, so that's good.
I could be a Katawa Shoujo girl!

Also, how does running affect your ability to give blood? Aren't athletes desirable when it comes to donating stuff?

I'm a distance runner so i train pretty much year round, i take ten days off after outdoor track every year. I train 20 out of 21 days on a three week rotation. Because of the nature of the strain I put on myself, I can't afford to have less blood. I'd pass out. It would effect my training very much so. It pays the bills so I can't not do it.

>Severe athletic ability envy<

I joined the track team in elementary school, but my cardiologist said no.

If there is anything, I can't think of it right now. But I must go to bed now and dream of chemistry, so I can kick my exam's ass tomorrow.
