the pics of excavators lifting themselves onto things are so old, and you just had to go put a " **** yeah" face on it to ruin it?

That's a Backhoe loader, not a excavator...
User avatar #4 to #3 - OperationValkyrie (03/16/2013) [-]
That's actually a backhoe.
But I agree with you.

I have no fluffing clue what it's called in english (am Swedish), I just picked whichever had a more logical name

so... it drives up so the bucket is in front and the excavator arm is in back. But then he uses the excavator arm to empty the car...

how did he turn the machine around?
User avatar #25 to #24 - numbersixtyseven **User deleted account** (03/17/2013) [-]
The arm on the rear can turn.
User avatar #26 to #24 - deadlyfoez (03/17/2013) [-]
You've obviously have never used one of these machines before.
The seat can be rotated so the operator can face the other direction. How do you think the operator would use the bucket otherwise without getting a major cramp in his neck?
#27 to #26 - gardenmanly (03/17/2013) [-]
yes, I know, I'm sorry I must be explaining myself poorly. The first picture looks like the backhoe is facing towards the right, but then later when it shows him emptying the trailer car, it looks like it is facing the left. Here is a crudly made picture of what I mean
User avatar #28 to #27 - deadlyfoez (03/17/2013) [-]
Yeah, so they moved another car over? They must have disconnected a few cars first, or after getting on top he maneuvered his way to a few cars down. There is no sorcery involved here.
#30 to #28 - gardenmanly (03/17/2013) [-]
AH... I forgot that train cars can be disconnected...
#29 to #27 - gardenmanly (03/17/2013) [-]
unless its something like this, in which case, once he empties the train car with the dirt, how will he be able to drive back over it to get back down
