Kids often can do such. Heck, I remember I once wrote something for a girl that had been sick or was at the hospital. The entire class had it as a task to write her something. When the teacher read it up I sat there, blushing, because it was all so sweet and romantic. I didn't even know. But then last thing I had written was "We've baked pancakes!" right out of the blue.

So in a way, as kids we don't really put large amounts of emotions into what we're writing since we wouldn't really feel that emotion if we'd read something.

We're too stupid for it.

There ARE examples. But almost only for sadness.
