I'm thinking more the Mongolian Empire, but I agree just the same.

Altair dealt with the Mongols. Plus, the Mongols were nomads, so you could what? Jump from yurt to yurt?

Samurai vs ninjas vs templars vs assassins. **** Yeah!
Samurai vs ninjas vs templars vs assassins. **** Yeah!

One of my favourite old games was kinda like that. Battle Realms. Had Samurai vs evil samurai vs barbarians vs evil wizardy types, with ninjas, giant crossbows, powder keg cannons, ronin.... all sorts of **** . I wish people made more games like that, rather than more modern shooty shooter man.

I'd like to see a roman era one, you know. assassination of Caesar and stuff.
#37 to #33 - restfullwicked (03/08/2013) [-]
problem is we know who assassinated Caesar, the point is the people we kill are people whose death has never been explained. then again it would be awesome
User avatar #40 to #37 - warrenzthehero (03/08/2013) [-]
We don't know for sure. Maybe Brute took the blame? Maybe he took the blame to try to pull for more political advantage.
When that vie for power backfires, it could be Roman-Assassin that kills him.
User avatar #45 to #40 - vgmaster (03/08/2013) [-]
But in the games they established that he did kill Caesar. You get to wear his armor and use the dagger he used in the assassination. So even though we don't technically know for you, they have already made it fact in the AC lore...
User avatar #61 to #45 - warrenzthehero (03/09/2013) [-]
Ah, yes. I forgot about the Armor of Brutus.

Maybe the Assassin was meant to protect Caesar, but was too late?

#50 to #24 - anon (03/09/2013) [-]
No, I can't fcking wait... The game is going to be even bigger than any of the previous AC games.. It'll be legendary! :D
User avatar #26 to #24 - doopleganger (03/08/2013) [-]
**** no I've been waiting for a pirate game for a long time.
User avatar #25 to #24 - Mr Ronok (03/08/2013) [-]
also, medieval europe would be cool to.
User avatar #39 - thinkwithportals (03/08/2013) [-]
I think feudal japan, some era of ancient china, or the american frontier would be cool.
#7 - anon (03/08/2013) [-]
I think either ninjas or Romans would have had far more potential...
User avatar #10 to #7 - ScottP (03/08/2013) [-]
Roman assasins would be pretty cool...and it's a time-frame that hasn't really been explored much in games
User avatar #43 - aconfuseddonut (03/08/2013) [-]
If they don't make some sort of "I've got a jar of dirt" joke, then I'm going to have to kill a small child.

I'm actually excited for this, the boating fights were one of the best parts of 3 and that's gonna be 40% of the new game, plus it's gonna be better because it's mainly focused on boats. Also, any game that gets PETA all riled up is good in my book.

FEUDAL
*******
JAPAN
(Preferably with 100% less guns)
#63 to #14 - anon (03/16/2013) [-]
Muromachi era Japan. That would be ******* epic.

Or Japan during the Meiji Restoration? The Meiji Restoration period is just crying out for an AC game. I mean, come on... Assassins as the guardians of tradition and honour, while the Templars bring Western progress to Japan?

I don't really find this series that great.

I found the game play lacking for the most part. The environments are terrible and the story started off pretty cool but became kind of convoluted.

I don't get the hype.

I respect that people like it and enjoy it, but really don't think it's that amazing of a game. I'd rate it average. 7/10

Ninjas were boring. They were just dudes who waited for their targets to be in a big wooden building then set the damn thing on fire. No katanas or any cool **** , just contract killers who didn't mind too much about collateral damage. The modern idea of a ninja comes from the nihilistic first-person account of one such killer who claimed he could turn invisible and morph into animals and smoke. In case you can't guess, he was chatting **** .

As for samurai - they'd be cool. Although they were really just drunken dicks on horses that lorded it over the peasantry. I'm going to emphasise the "drunken." They'd make interesting assassination targets though.

Pirates works because people raved about the ship mechanic in the last game, so they're leaning heavy on it.

Okay, yesterday I read the AC comics, 'the fall', i think it was called. Now, since Desmond's dead, I think exploring Daniel Cross's life in a game would be sweet, playing in the marvelous 1880's russia, and the 1980's and 90's as Cross. It would be sweet.
