And while we're at it, **** the Black, Brown, Kodiak, and Sun bears.

Cats and dogs are about equal.
Dogs are great except for those nasty little ******* that bite ankles. You know the type. If Snooki and all the other Jersey Shore fools were turned into dogs they would be Chihuahuas, Yorkies, and all the other little yapping rats. A real man's dog is at least a foot tall.

Cats are considerably smarter and more independent than dogs. inb4 anal trauma over a fact

Cats smarter than dogs? Maybe some breed of cats are smarter than some breeds of dogs, but the reverse is also true. As for more independent, that's why I don't like them, their independence bores me. I get to do stuff with my dogs because they crave attention, their fun, every cat I have ever known has been boring as all hell.

Pic related because dog.

Cats can't hunt other dogs, other cats( As efficiently), large birds, poisonous spiders the size of your palm, snakes, and they can hunt insects, mice and rats.
            Dogs: 9999999999999999999999999999999999999

P.S: Your sources are terrible, if you even did have any source other than your own biased opinion.

I like dogs better than cats... I mean, I don't hate cats, I just don't like them... On the other hand, I love almost every dog race

Break down:
Dogs are for those who wants to see a display of affection and be with their companion from time to time. Generally for younger people.
Cats are for those who wants to be left alone and do their own thing until they want to display their affection. Generally for mature people.
Cats and dogs provide great company.
Dogs are for active people who like taking them out for sports or a walk in the beach during the summer.
Cats for people who are less active for someone petting them while reading a book or watching television by the fire place during winter.
If you have young children, dogs are awesome for the children & if you want to get your kids out doors. Your kids can take them out for a walk, play frisbee with them and you can teach your kids on responsibility when cleaning up their poop. When you're tired back from work, you can enjoy petting your dog after it was exhausted from playing with your children. But it will greet you like a king when you return, making sure that you know it acknowledges your existences for return at once before you even settled down.
If you do have children, cats will be boring for them because they are more independent and have less activity to do with them. However, if your children are mature and prefer to watch more than play. They'll enjoy a good time watching and giggling at its crazy antics.
Cats are awesome companions, after a long day of work, the cat will greet you, but not suddenly, it will greet you when you are completely settled down.
Both could be toilet trained. Except the cat can be trained to use your toilets as well.
Bad sides:
Cats: furniture destroyer, fur balls, genital stomper, computer blocker
Dog: Garbage and furniture destroyer, drools, alarm barking clock at night
It really depends on your tastes. What weakness outweigh the advantage. If you are a hotblooded active dude: dogs. If you are a passive dude who likes animals that are independent: cats.
No need to fight. It's just like apples and oranges
