Not sure why the red thumb, you're absolutely correct. When they're trying to banish the witches or whatever and they've gotta come up with the proper wording to contain them in whatever galaxy, the Doctor says to Martha "quick, think of something", she responds with "uh.. EXPELLIARMUS!" and the Doctor says something along the lines of "good old JK."
Source: I watched it twenty-three minutes from now.

If Time Lords can control their regenerations to choose their next form, I wonder if some of them just stay the same forever? It was said that the Doctor can't choose his because he didn't stay in the academy.
User avatar #23 to #8 - yamiyo (03/06/2013) [-]
i'm sure most would stay the same. I believe the doctor said once that despite continuing to live after regenerating, it's the same as dying because a new man walks off with your body.

What a great excuse to be able to have lazy writing. If there's ever a hole in the logic/story you can just say "Timely Wimey Stuff." This show is ******* stupid.

Great argument; a half-way relevant reaction gif. Call me an idiot, but you're the one that likes a show that admits to having no ruling to it's own universe. They can pick and choose whatever time theory they want to go with when it fits, that's painfully lazy.
#51 to #45 - blacknbluebrony (03/07/2013) [-]
Are you really judging the plot and writing of a show based off of a gif.
User avatar #52 to #51 - emptysuperman (03/07/2013) [-]
No. I've seen quite a few episodes.

It's a formula that works for a show to enable it to live for 50 years without it falling apart due to plot obstacles written in by a team 20 years ago.

It makes it so changes can be made without a ******** "alternate universe at every decision" way of working things.
