The crowning state of technology will be the day when we will be capable of transferring mind and soul in computer chips and live in web, that day will one time come. Be it for better or bad.

Is there a way to wear those if you have to wear prescription glasses? Just wondering?
User avatar #95 to #6 - daktyl (03/04/2013) [-]
The actual "glass" part can be removed from it's frame really easily (there is only a single screw holding it on).

By the time Google Glass actually becomes popular, I have no doubt that frame makers will have drilled a little hole there in all of their frames for anybody wishing to attach it.
Also, google is currently working with frame makers to make frames for prescription glasses that come with Glass.

Wear contacts then put on google glasses?
User avatar #19 to #6 - localbees (03/04/2013) [-]
Right? I don't wanna be left out of the future because my eyes suck.

I switched to contacts about four years ago, and I ******* love it. Just the small things like being about to take a shirt off without glasses getting in the way, or being able to play sports without worrying about them.

A little off topic, but just saying!

If I don't wear my glasses, I have these crazy bags under my eyes that become super visible.
Also, I'm scared of sticking fingers in my eyes.
User avatar #26 to #25 - richardastley ONLINE (03/04/2013) [-]
Well I can't help you with the bags (maybe lotion, but I don't really know). As far as sticking your fingers in your eyes is concerned, it's ******* hard and it's the worst thing about learning to use contacts. For the first while I had to set like ten minutes of time aside in order to put my contacts in. I still have to consciously tell myself to not blink, but it gets easier with practice.

I wear contacts almost every day, but apparently there aren't any longer lasting alternatives for my eye type available, so I have to put in new ones every day. Also I find that my eyes get tired when I wear contacts for too long so I guess the remaining alternative is to get laser surgery...

Maybe they'll have a google glass eye you can get, and then you have the glass robot eye, and a monocle on the other eye

Cool gadget. Now Google will know your exact location at all times. Thanks to visual and voice recognition, they will know who you talk to, when and what you say. It will even know when you take a **** . I'm sure we'll be alright though.
User avatar #70 to #66 - thegamerslife (03/04/2013) [-]
You really think there isn't going to be an option to turn that stuff off. I turn all internet, locating, GPS, etc off on my phone(saves a lot of battery) why would it not be an option on this?
User avatar #72 to #66 - schneidend (03/04/2013) [-]
Try to stop being a paranoid dumbass for a second and actually think that thought process all the way through. Google is just a corporation. They don't really have any power to use that information against you. This is NOT the same thing as the government tapping your phones or reading your e-mails.

You know i honestly can't wait for this thing. I haven't shut up about it since i learned about it, I've been waiting for something like this since i was a kid and if it works like Google promises it'll be the greatest ******* thing ever.

Also this is a great step in technology.

My dad and I were talking about these, and then he tells me that Google is going to rule the world one day, and I agree, and we laugh about it

We laugh about it now

but one day, Google will own the world, and everyone in it, and we'll all be their slaves

So laugh while you stll
