yeah but the schools dont want kids to go outside and get interested in digging, that might lean towards independent thought....they cant have that

Geologists work with rocks, they study geology.
Geographers study geography.

It's okay, because I'm sure 70% of any European country realizes that Brazil is located in Mexico. Or that Americans tend to be more of a nomad type of people and move on to the next area once Wal-Mart has ran out of supplies.
