Whenever they feel, they use emoticons.

Emoticons are actually a good thing. Their addition to any form of non-spoken language interaction has drastically improved the quality of non-spoken conversations.
They express things that otherwise could only be conveyed through facial expressions, and such emotions are usually quite important in the conversation.

A message can have a drastic change in meaning if an emoticon is added, that is why, linguistically, I wouldn't call the use of emoticons a de-evolution.

Best thing of it you can use emoticons to disguis your insults towards a person and he/she doesn´t get it

Exactly, Emoticons, can convey basic emotions like anger, happiness, sadness, and sometimes even more nuanced things like irritation, sarcasm, etc.

There is no such thing as de-evolution, unless you alter time itself.

actually de-evolution is a misconception. but the idea is still a frequently used one. read more about it here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De-evolution

yeah, evolution just means "change," so 'de-evolution' makes no sense. it's almost as if de-evolution would mean stagnation.

Decadence is probably a better term than de-evolution

It'll only happen if there is a massive break in language, and they get their hieroglyph language while grammar Nazis get to enjoy people who can actually use the English language correctly.
