Cheetah's are probably the least aggressive/dangerous of the big cats towards humans.

Yeah I know, but they're still a big cat just staring at you when you get in your car.

Btw wanna hear something dangerous? I have 2 level 10 Rodents as pets, they're only level 1 unless they get a piece of candy.. If they get a piece of candy and you try to remove it, you lose a finger (at first as a warning)
#40 to #39 - roarflmao (03/03/2013) [-]
ohh :( i thought it was on an actual scale of how dangerous or something they were
User avatar #30 to #7 - daimondemon (03/03/2013) [-]
Any wild animal when provoked can be dangerous really.
#33 to #30 - methead (03/03/2013) [-]

Zookeeper here, fun fact, Cheetahs are actually not dangerous and can be kept as pets.

I did not mean to suggest that people should goto Africa and take wild cheetahs for pets. However Cheetahs are non aggressive animals both wild and the ones in captivity. For example I have a friend that works at a different Zoo, and they walk their Cheetahs on leashes before the Zoo opens

No, I didn't mean that, I am certain that it wouldn't attack people, however because of lacking genetic diversity in wild Cheetah populations I would not support Cheetahs being removed from the wild.
#24 to #16 - Spikeydeath (03/03/2013) [-]
espcially if you de fang and de claw them
User avatar #29 to #24 - junkmanrs (03/03/2013) [-]
They actually have semi-retractable claws, the same as dogs, so those wouldn't be an issue
User avatar #36 to #16 - ooants (03/03/2013) [-]
Yeah, I'll just take your word for it. <Insert "damn nature, you scary" reference>

Technically, he's right, though they do need a large amount of land to keep themselves entertained, Cheetah's are fairly docile, they aren't even classified as a "Big Cat", because they cannot roar, and weigh only about as much as dog. However, they have a lack of genetic diversity that is damaging them as a species, I do not support them being removed from the wild for other than breeding purposes. And, you know, I don't want to piss something off that a 0-60mph time better than a Lamborghini.
User avatar #75 to #63 - junkmanrs (03/04/2013) [-]
Oh, I do not support the removal of any endangered species from the wild, unless it is for extreme protection measures i.e. the California Condor.
