Ok, I'll take a semi-serious stab at this completely ridiculous question.

1:Similar weight
2:Similar water content
3: Similar shape
4: Both have hollow areas inside (the brain has ventricles)
5:Similar density
6:Both have a protective layer (rind and skull)
7:Both make wonderful masturbation aids.

... Good enough?

1.It's soft on the inside with a harder outer shell
2. They're both elliptical in shape
3. They both make a mess when dropped
4. If either of them are kept at improper temps, you're gonna have a bad time
5. In the absence of a marketplace, you'd have to 'crack some skulls' to get either of them.
6.They're both very juicy
7.You'd get some weird looks if you juggled either of them in public

2. In no way whatsoever as one is an organ and the other is a ******* melon
#23 to #1 - Rascal (03/03/2013) [-]
Both are composed of cells
#24 to #1 - Rascal (03/03/2013) [-]
and fruit is most definitely an organ, just not a human one.
User avatar #33 to #1 - pokemonstheshiz (03/03/2013) [-]
a fruit is an organ though, it's the equivalent to the ovaries of the tree. not a vital organ, but still an organ

...It's not a matter of knowing how brains are like cantaloupes, it's an exercise and demonstration of how the brain builds and functions by pattern detection.

Now what ******* world do we live in where kids are learning to compare The HUMAN ******* BRAIN, TO A GOD DAMNED CANTALOUPE. Seriously, what the **** are they doing these days...

You completely missed the point of the exercise. It's not the comparison that matters, it's the process in the brain that creates the comparisons. The brain seeks patterns, that's how it operates. If it sees something over and over it becomes solidified. The exercise is showing how the brain operates, not how two things are alike.
User avatar #47 to #25 - wwkybobo (03/03/2013) [-]
And they teach little kids how to compare things, (whether they be objects or whatever) Rather than something with more long term importance? All they can learn from comparing things is how to hold long ass religious debates and **** .
