I'll just take this moment to confess my undying love for this lovely man.
What a great man! What a superb man! What an absolutely amazing person that George Harrsion was. Seriously, he was such a nice man! He never fought with anyone (Even when Eric Clapton stole his wife from him, he never got mad at him because he just wanted them to be happy). Just such an amazing man!

No homo.

Had some weird obsession with ukuleles though.
I think Tom Petty was the one who said that he had met George at one point and he just opened up the trunk of his car and there was all these ukuleles, and he hands him two saying "You never know when you need one"

As soon as I saw what George said, I couldn't help but think of the irony:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Layla

"Inspired by Clapton's then unrequited love for Pattie Boyd, the wife of his friend and fellow musician George Harrison, "Layla" was unsuccessful on its initial release"

So, yeah, George eventually divorced his wife, who got married to Clapton. George actually attended their wedding and wished them the best.

I was never a huge fan of the beatles. I like classic rock, but they have never really done it for me. Just personal opinion.

I do however acknowledge and respect the impact they had on music. Same with Elvis and MJ.

And my old ex gf and her aunt created a homemade Sgt. Pepper costume for halloween when she was in like 8th grade. Looked ******* amazing. I don't have the pic or anything anymore though

I have enjoyed one Beatles song that I've listened to, "Twist and Shout", but that's about it. Beyond Elvis and MJ though, the Beatles completely changed the way people enjoyed music.

Lots of bands show up at an airport to be greeted by hordes of fans and screaming girls nowadays, but the Beatles were the first. I definitely think you're right to respect them.

Unfortunately that's part of the reason they stopped touring, but then again it was when they got in the studio that they really made some magic. Watch the Anthology if you have an extra 12 hours. It's pretty eye opening.
