Psychologically, they are more loyal because they feel a stronger attachment too those who gave them a chance, and feel that the bond is special.
People who are outgoing and charming technically have a higher chance to have more friends and relationships, so they're not considered as "special" to them as the people who are more awkward.

Just an odd little fact for you.

I'm 21, almost out of college, I've never had a real friend or a friend to say the least. I've learnt to live with it, and almost accepted that I'll never end up with a girlfriend or a person to trust my feelings with. Everyday I still keep hoping, that one girl will come by and change my life. I've never written about it or ever felt compelled to, I just felt like doing it this one time. Flirting is not my cup of tea, and I think it's rather too cheesy. Meanwhile, I cry it out sometimes in my room when it gets too much to handle all by myself and hug my pillow hoping I'll have a real person to hug someday and talk it out to. kthxbye
#127 to #114 - MysticTomatoe (02/26/2013) [-]
I've experienced that, good sir. I hope that one day you can find that girl or friend and give them all that love you have to give and thus receive some too.

its because we work too damn hard to have the few friends we do have and we don't want to **** that up. because making friends is awkward as **** .
User avatar #1 - torexofthenight (02/25/2013) [-]
I'm socially awkward and shy, and only do I have a girlfriend, but quite a few friends. Admittedly not as many as most of my generation, although it doesn't bother me for the simply fact I'm closer to these friends than most people.
User avatar #4 to #1 - expertsexchange (02/25/2013) [-]
Same here. My stutter makes me extremely awkward sometimes I have a great core group of friends and in a healthy relationship that has been going strong for a year and a half now. :)
User avatar #89 to #4 - torexofthenight (02/26/2013) [-]
Congratulations, as of April 17th I'll have been with my girl fro a year. Also I kind of understand what you mean with the stutter. I have a form of arthritis which can be a real pain (literally) but basically I cant play sports too often, because my joints may randomly give out. (Imagine walking around and suddenly your leg quits his job and stops working for a bit.) When someone accepts me for problems like this though it makes our friendship, our bond, much stronger than most.

Falace/ ****** fact posts in a nutshell.
User avatar #13 to #11 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
that may be true, but as pathetic as it sounds, some of them make me feel good about myself.
User avatar #15 to #13 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
You know what makes me feel good? Ice cream. You gotta try that **** . Intentionally decieving myself into believe non-proven ****** falace facts? Nope. That would make me feel like a naive, supersticious, stupid person. I'll stick to science, scientific method. And Ice cream.
User avatar #21 to #15 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
You would also be deceiving yourself by thinking that the good feeling of ice cream lasts long. Food doesn't solve everything. Also i don't believe any of these are true. I just like the thought of it.
User avatar #22 to #21 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
Oh, but I have more ice cream!
So you don't believe any of those are true, but they make you feel good? I don't quite follow you there. Care to elaborate?
User avatar #25 to #22 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
too much ice cream makes you fat
This is the best way i can explain it: a guy thinking about the girl he likes

"I wonder if [girl] likes me. we always hangout and talk. oh but that's probably not true because she has so many reason to not like me. It's still nice to think about it though, i can just imagine it."

just thinking about it makes him feel good, even though he doubts that its true.
User avatar #27 to #25 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
So you fantasize about ****** /falace facts? That's a weird fetish you have there.
Respect.
User avatar #30 to #27 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
So instead of trying to back-up your opinion, you decide to try to make mine sound weird?
You know, this argument was kind of fun, and i did agree with you to a certain extent. But with that comment right there, you completely ruined it. thanks
User avatar #34 to #30 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
</3
I'm sorry that you feel that way. But, you see: I stated how, for me, decieving myself into believe these ****** /falace facts without any proof would make me a self-decieving, naive, supersticious, stupid person. Which I don't consider myself. So I can't cope with that myself. I could state how, in an age of science and information as ours, someone stupid enough to believe these kind of facts is all the previous.
But you know that these are false facts, but you choose to fantasize about them being real, and that makes you happy? That's just weird. But it's also a preference, your taste... there is no reason in it, and therefore nothing to argument for or against it. Hence there is nothing else I could say, except wishing you to be happy with your fantasies, as I did!
User avatar #35 to #34 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
you think fantasizing is weird because its not your way of thinking. But just because you think its weird doesn't mean its bad. And you say is nothing to argue over, yet you made an argument out of it. i just made a simple comment in the beginning, with no intentions on arguing over it.
This is completely off subject but about your name Pocoyo. I know I've heard of that somewhere but I can't remember.
User avatar #36 to #35 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
You missed absolutely all the meanings! I didn't say fantasizing is weird, to start with. I do it all the time! I said the subject to fantasize about (fake fact posts) is weird. And by all means, I didn't say that something that is weird is therefore bad. I think I actually said you should do it if it makes you happy. And I didn't argument for or against the whole idea, I clearly stated is a preference matter, therefore personal and non-arguable! You got me all wrong, in every point!

User avatar #38 to #36 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
the way you said fantasizing is weird made it sound like you thought it was bad. it was a little sarcastic.

and I don't fully understand what this show is about. Is that elephant wearing a backpack?
User avatar #42 to #38 - pocoyothegreat (02/26/2013) [-]
Hehe. Well, like it's usually said: the offense, more than on the words you read, is on the eyes with which you read them.
It is an educative, very young age targetted show, so it has barely more sense than Teletubbies. Don't look for a real plot in there :P
User avatar #44 to #42 - newbtube (02/26/2013) [-]
it just occurred to me that people are probably looking at this argument and thinking this is the stupidest thing they've ever seen.
