Only on a 12 hour clock

Not if you run by 24hour clock.

well it would still be 24 hours after 8

Nope.

Clock ends at 24:00 and resets to 0:00.

It is time after an 8, yes, but it's not 24 hours after 8. It's 8, 24 hours have just passed. And anything inbetween 0:00 and 7:59 would still count as not after 8.

Doesn't matter whether its a 12 hour clock or a 24 hour clock, it's always after 8.

No it's not.

It's after AN 8.

By the rules of a 24 hour clock, anything from 0:00 - 7:59 is NOT after 8.

Yesterday's time doesn't matter.
