Big deal I found like three of those in Skyrim

...I want to have a house in that. A little cabin far from everyone else with a small clearing just to do some basic farming and some space to raise some cows/pigs/chicken. I'll have a whole bunch of rabbits too, of all shapes and sizes, fluffy ones, fuzzy ones, and I'll be the only one to tend to them.

John Malkovich and Gary Sinese as Lennie and George in Of Mice and Men were amazing.

I used to love the book and the film, but then I had to study for English - it ruined it for me

I loved studying it for English :) In 9th grade, we got to chose a book to study in English, and then the 2nd part of English we did the same. Both times, I chose Steinbeck, the first being The Grapes of Wrath and the second book being East of Eden, and then as a class we did Of Mice and Men. My 9th grade English year was amazing.

I didn't think anyone on this whole ******* site had enough intelligence to reference Of Mice and Men. Thank you, sir.

I love all of Steinbeck's works that I've read so far, with Of Mice and Man being my favorite. The others I've read are The Grapes of Wrath, Travels with Charlie, The Red Pony, and East of Eden. One of my favorite movies of all time is this version of Of Mice and Men. The duo of Sinese and Malkovich were just phenomenal.
User avatar #13 to #12 - keiishiyama (02/18/2013) [-]
That movie was unbelievable. My one criticism was the shot. From my interpretation, George was extremely hesitant to shoot, and the actor did it in the movie without batting an eye.

Steinbeck was a great novelist.
User avatar #14 to #13 - Edrosty ONLINE (02/18/2013) [-]
I think Sinese did the shot quite well. It wasn't as drawn out as the book, but the hesitation and contemplation was there, was visualized. At the end of it all he just sucked it up and did it quick, like peeling off a band-aid.
User avatar #15 to #14 - keiishiyama (02/18/2013) [-]
I suppose I didn't think of it that way. I always felt it would've shown more if we'd seen a shot of his hand tensing up on the trigger.
User avatar #17 to #15 - Edrosty ONLINE (02/18/2013) [-]
Definitely, yea. A greater show of the hesitation would've made it that much more powerful, agreed.

I seen hunderds of men come by on the road an' on the ranches, with their bindles on their back an' that same damn thing in their heads. Hunderds of them. They come, an' they quit an' go on; an' every damn one of 'em's got a little piece of land in his head. An' never a God damn one of 'em ever gets it. Just like heaven. Everybody wants a little piece of lan'. I read plenty of books out here. Nobody never gets to heaven, and nobody gets no land. It's just in their head. They're all the time talkin' about it, but it's jus' in their head.

I ******* love Of Mice and men (The book, not the ****** band). Steinbeck was such a brilliant author.
User avatar #36 to #19 - Edrosty ONLINE (02/19/2013) [-]
Funny thing about that. I had literally JUST discovered who the **** the band was before your comment. I decided to go to ThePirateBay to download the movie to watch it again, haven't seen it in a year or so, and then the first link had that band and I was like "Dafuq is this?"

Have you played black and white?
The roggenrola family is the cave-dweller there.
Think of zubats, only that they can't be beaten in one hit.

They're pure rock types, but have sturdy as their ability which makes them immune to OHKOs and they'll be standing with 1 HP if you try to finish them off in one hit.

Wait wat. I was talking about the end of the second one lol. But, the ending of the first could've been better. She could have just y'know. Died.
User avatar #229 to #172 - makujensi (02/19/2013) [-]
Hah my bad. Yeah.. If she had just died it would have saved us from having to see the second one and randomly kill like 6 more people.

The Descent

If I'm wrong, and it's the second one, just watch the first. The second's just bad.

Yeah, I've seen that movie, but I forgot the name and didn't get to see the end to it.

At first i thought i was looking at Oprah's Vag. I hear it is the second biggest cave in the world and also has a forest growing inside it...much like the cave, i hear there are also vietnamese children lost inside.
