smart-cars are overpriced and don't have great mileage for it's size and sacrfice for it's smalliness. If you want a small car there's much more smaller options, not everyone wants a small overpriced car with a motorcycle engine which can't transport more than 2 people at most and abolustely ****** in every enivoriment besides urban cities.

Then according to you nobody needs a pickup truck to haul things. Yea, the Smart car is full of utility outside the city blocks.

Look at how many americans have pick up trucks that don't need them. Regardless, ofc there are people who need big trucks to do things but most of the time that is not the case and trucks are in abundance for no reason.

You can drive whatever you want, its a free world. But don't get all smug and look down on people who do drive trucks who don't need them

>implying its because i hate trucks
Trucks consume loads of oil/gasoline and pollute the most. I actually want earth to survive another 1000 years, **** me right?

Im pretty sure older muscle cars pollute/ use gas more than a truck would (gas trucks, not diesel). Ive got a 70 chevelle that gets a good 6 mpg and that is far worse than my pickup. I actually happen to use my pick up because I work construction in the summer.

Some people dont need the trucks, but in areas such as the mid west, people get them for 4 wheel drive during the winter. Otherwise people will mainly get them for construction or farming.

You don't need a smart car either. Motorcycles and Scooters have much greater mileage and there's energy atlernatives for them too which pollute far less. The only advantage you have with a smart car compare to them is the fact it has a safer design and able to fit two people comfortably with a little bit more storage than a 2 wheel vehicle.
But not everyone is a urban faggot, people have jobs requiring them more towering and storage, not to mention greater for worse road conditions.

If you really want to save the earth, look at aviation. The standard fuel for general aviation aircraft is 100LL, know what the LL stands for? Low lead. There is still lead in the fuel they use. They phased out lead in fuel in cars a long time ago. Right now the emissions in a car are cleaner then they ever have been. With cleaner burning fuel, up to 10% of it (in most states) ethanol which may be cleaner but gunks up my engine real good and has less energy per gallon than standard gasoline. On top of that cleaner and more efficient engines. So all in all, your not really doing much by driving a Smart Car over a regular four door sedan.

BTW case in point, when all aircraft over the US were grounded after 9/11, the temperature of the atmosphere dropped 2 degrees (I believe Celsius, but not entirely sure). So air transport if probably the dirtiest form of travel, after electric cars. Electric cars may be clean at the user end, but they use electricity generated by mainly coal and oil (which is a large portion of electrical generation right now) not wind/hydroelectric power.
