Hey vegans!. . Chicken meet gave wan, Chicken never ' shade, GO GREEN Mere " sauce at Assistance. ccam. I'm not vegan, but the logic here is extremely flawed. The chicken probably ate a lot more plant mass than it provided as food in meat mass.

I don't eat meat because of the way we get it
It's too processed and unfair
If I killed and prepared a chicken myself I wouldn't have any problem eating it

I raise my own hogs, and my friend owns a butcher shop. I have gotten so many people like you, some good bacon!

One of the perks of living in a hippie area is all of the local farms with free range chickens and grass fed beef.

Same reason i don't eat eggs

I really need to start freganing meat again though

I hate it when my family order a pizza with meat on it and eats half of it and lets the rest go off

Vegetables are processed, too. Might as well eat the meat (except hotdogs and other glorified dog food). It's all part of a balanced diet.

But... chasing a wild chicken would be too hard.
Might be a little fun though.

Chickens arent solely vegetarians though. I've seen them eat meat too.
User avatar #208 to #193 - dapape ONLINE (02/11/2013) [-]
The point is that all meat food products vicariously come from plants.
User avatar #63 to #2 - dexorcitor (02/10/2013) [-]
Well, they usually feed chicken rice. Some of my relatives are farmers, and that seems to be the only thing they're fed. I've never seen a chicken eat plants.
User avatar #178 to #63 - dapape ONLINE (02/11/2013) [-]
Rice and other grains come from plants, bud.
#126 to #2 - junter (02/11/2013) [-]
That's why you feed them chicken.
#19 to #2 - anon (02/10/2013) [-]
then we should eat more of them so they don't eat plants
#23 to #19 - tedrocks (02/10/2013) [-]
That isn't really how it works when you have an animal that is farmed. If more people eat chickens, more people will farm chickens so therefore more plants will be eaten to feed the larger number of chickens.

But if there is no more farmer then there will be no farmers to farm for farmers and that means a less number of farmers will be farmed.

Also, chicken is more environmentally sustainable than beef and pork since it takes a significantly lower resource input to produce a pound of chicken than it does to produce a pound of beef or pork.

#177 to #169 - urapooper (02/11/2013) [-]
but I thought pigs has more of its energy converted into meat compared to other meat products or something like that. idk I forgot where I heard it from.

That and they run around after you chop their heads off which can be very entertaining
#109 - anon (02/11/2013) [-]
Look. It's simple. The raising of meat(including chicken) creates pollution from their waste. If you don't raise the chickens for food, then you drastically reduce the pollution.

Also, all calories(energy) comes from the sun. It takes more energy to grow the food to feed the chicken that then feeds you, instead of you eating the plant food to begin with. NOT TO MENTION the inhumane treatment of farm animals and the nasty way they process most meats.

P.S. Yes, I still eat meat. :P Yaaay for being a hypocrite! Just thought I'd lay some science on the unwashed masses.
