Valentines Gift

I made a pair of copper & steel roses for a friends Valentines day present and she absolutely loved them to bits - if this gets enough thumbs I'll go ahead and make an instructable that i'll link here. Thoughts?

I made metal roses once for my girlfriends Birthday. Spent hours making them. I gave her one and kept the other for myself. I wanted you show how dedicated I was to her.
Unfortunately her parents hated me, they thought their daughter would be better off with someone wealthy, and forced us apart. to add insult to injury they destroyed the rose I made so she wouldn't have anything to remind her of me.
Pic related. the one of the left I gave to her the right the one I still have.

A worthless thumb currency for an instruction that might get me laid? seems fair enough.

OP here,
To clear up any confusion, I made this post at roughly the same time as putting out a similar one on Instructables:

www.instructables.com/id/Copper-Rose-Perfect-for-Valentines-Day/

as I wanted to see what people thought and whether it would be worth me making a guide (and **** it, everyone likes being complemented a bit). Regarding receiver of the flowers: Yes, she knows how I feel and doesn't reciprocate those feelings. No, I don't drop people easily and so haven't given up on her, as we get along really well anyhow and if you like something enough, you'll do anything for it.
Hope that explains things

OP Here,
Cheers! As soon as you have the skill to make something like this, and the courage to actually care for someone other than your feeble little self without worrying what they think about you, I'll start valuing your opinions. Yes, I don't have a Valentine this year and it doesn't bother me; no, I honestly didn't think this would be anywhere near so popular as it is. At the moment I have been offered a place at one of the top Universities in the UK, have awesome grades and play squash at a club level. So, I think I'm doing pretty well with my life.....you?

That's pretty thumbwhorish of you, huh OP? Instead of being a nice guy and posting the link when the post was still editable, you make a promise you can't keep.

Link to what? I haven't finished making the first step of the instructable yet, let alone the whole thing, as I don't want it to be a botch job. I can realistically have the first few steps up in 48hrs -however, one of the steps (cutting a thread on the steel) requires tools I only have at my school workshop and given that i'm on holiday currently, I won't be able to put them up for at least a week or two. OP will delivar - there's my promise, but I can't give you a timescale.

Thought they were made from bacon.
User avatar #136 to #132 - luckybastard (02/10/2013) [-]
but, with OP's instructions, we could make one using bacon right?
