You still end up with **** on your lawn, and you'd need to go outside every time you want to cuddle/play with it.

True, but don't you need to clean **** out of a litter box? So either way you still end up cleaning **** out of something. Playing outside with a dog is not as bad as it seems, my dog and I will go for a run then sit down on the local dock and just watch the water.

gif unrelated?

But with an argument like that, don't you also have to clean up your cat's **** after he fills up his box?
I'd prefer a dog that ***** in the backyard and have it decompose over time anyway, rather than clean up the cat's box every other week.

Well, you don't walk around in your cat's litter box.
But it's subjective, I know.

cats usually only go outside for an hour or two and then want to come inside, they don't only go in the lawn though they wander around all over the place

Yes. He only feels comfortable pooping on grass.
Don't judge.
