I found Metro 2033 to have some good scary moments. I loved the game,I just wish it was more refined,it could have been so much more.

Oh wow I havent been paying attention..

If they fix some of the audio bugs, some of the animations, use more than 3 character models and then more voices it would be amazing.

they most certainly will pic related

Yes this pleases me.

That was my biggest pet peeve of 2033..after awhile everyone sounds the same(due to limited voice actors) and everyone looks the same. Theres no difference between the 3 good guy models and 3 bad guy models.

And the AI at times was so bad..but I loved it! the guns were so cool.

Just picked up DS3. And no, it's not a horror game, it wasn't even advertised as one this time around. It's a solid story-line RPG with great Co-op.
I have fallen in love with the Deep plot, mostly because it's much more complex then most people realise and it goes right over their head.
Pick it up, it's a solid 9/10. Play with a friend who isn't a mentally retarded jackass, 9.5/10
User avatar #18 to #9 - xXBananaBishopXx (02/07/2013) [-]
Is it only online co-op or is there split screen?
User avatar #31 to #18 - Jameshaich (02/07/2013) [-]
Only online i'm sure.
User avatar #103 to #31 - xXBananaBishopXx (02/07/2013) [-]
That's lame, what about the times when you have a friend over or a roommate. Or don't even have an internet connection. I think developers are forgetting about those possibilities.
User avatar #10 to #9 - bloodspider (02/07/2013) [-]
I'm gonna wait till its on sale because, **** EA and origin. They ruined a great horror series.
User avatar #11 to #10 - zomaru ONLINE (02/07/2013) [-]
How so, it's impossible to keep action and horror in the same game for very long. Sure, DS1 was scary as **** , DS2 was actually the same way, only you got used to the exact same tactics over and over again. Not advertising it as a horror game and instead on the weapon crafting and Co-op was an Ingenious mover on their part.
User avatar #107 to #11 - bloodspider (02/08/2013) [-]
True, but they ruined it for me because now all of their games will be on Origin only and not on steam. My whole library of games are on steam and I like to keep it that way, call me picky or stubborn.
User avatar #108 to #107 - zomaru ONLINE (02/08/2013) [-]
Well, I just finished the game. I wont give anything away. But HOLY **** BALLS was it a good story.
Defiantly worth getting, you can just add DS3 to your Steam archives and let it take care of starting the game for you.

Dead Space as to be played differently than most games. Typically you need to be alone and in a dark room with the sound somewhat high. The idea behind the game is that you are always subject to being under attack, and thus you are attacked often to reinforce that idea. The game is meant to make you feel alone, and there are rarely times when you can rely on anything other than yourself. The sound is really the most important part. Seeing a necromorph isn't scary after you've already seen several, but the music gives a sense of dread, it reminds you as you go around every corner that you should be scared. The background noises are even important. I got my girlfriend to play one time and she noticed something in the game that I never thought about, the occasional clinking noises. She asked what it was and I told her it was probably a wrench or something that fell off of a table, to which she said, "wrenches don't just fall off of tables," meaning that something must have moved it, which is a really eerie thought. Dead Space is one of my favorite horror games. I think it does a great job of being scary.
#21 to #7 - dalgaard (02/07/2013) [-]
Well said! This is exactly what I need when I have to explain it to others.

I feel the same. Dead Space is clearly my favourite horror game.

Don't focus on the technology, and how this game is "Omg so unrealistic". Focus on the plotline, the underlying effects, the situation's thoughts and ideas. Don't focus on the necromorphs as the scariest thing in the game. They aren't trying to make you afraid of the creatures, you can't do that in a shooter. They're trying to make you afraid with the surroundings, the sense of being alone, the only one left in the ****** up place.

Which Dead Space did you play? Dead Space 3 is certainly lacking in scariness, I can agree.

But Dead Space 2 is ******* horrifying. If you actually stop and listen to the audio logs, and see the video logs, or even just look around you and get at all involved in the game, you'd be walking through there just saying in your mind "Nope nope nope nope nope."

Dead Space 2 isn't just jumpscares. It also tries to horrify you of the very nature of what is going on. I lose my **** at the church, and especially the nursery. ****** terrifying.

Dead space 3 is much worse. There is a part where you open an elevator, and a Necromorph is standing there, It's a jumpscare, but if the doors close, and you have to open them back up, The dude is gone, and the ventilation gate on the top of the elevator is gone. That **** ****** scared me

Awww **** son, Dead Space. One was alright, it kinda lacked story to me. Dead Space 2 was the **** . Story and scare, coming around to **** your **** up (the scene in the nursery was horrifying). Dead Space 3 so far is disappointing. It lacks that forwardness that a Dead Space game needs. With the option to move around where you please in space eliminates the possibility to scare off of anticipation, but can only provide jump scares. Also, the way you upgrade weapons and armor is far more complicated then Dead Space 2.

Only positives I see from Dead Space 3 is complete weapon customization (although I have no ******* clue what I'm doing and what the difference is in stocks), and the ability for co-op. I'm a huge fan of cooperative games for the story mode.

Anyone want to kill some necromorphs with me, just let me know! I'm looking for someone to play with until my friend mans the **** up and buys it.
