Pi
My friend showed me this picture about pi, and this was all i thought about.
PI IS AN INFINITE, NONRECURRING DECIMAL MEANING
THAT EVERY POSSIBLE NUMBER COMBINATION EXISTS
SOMEWHERE IN PI. CONVERTED INTO ASCII TEXT.
SOMEWHERE IN THAT INFINITE STRING OF OBITS IS
THE NAME OF EVERY PERSON YOU WILL EVER LOVE, THE
DATE, TIME, AND MANNER OF YOUR DEATH,
AND THE ANSWERS TO ALL THE GREAT QUESTIONS
OF THE UNIVERSE.
fl MAY BE ABE ANSWER
THE QUESTIONS ll; THE UNIVERSE
BUT SAN IT SEE WHY WIS
TWIST ?

Just because it's infinite and nonrepeating does not mean it holds every possible combination of numbers, especially since every possible combination of numbers is in itself infinite. There is no possible way to verify this statement.

Pi has the cure for cancer.
Also it has the binary coding of every code that has ever and ever will exist.
Pi has the written genetic code of every human on the earth, in order.
Pi has the chemical compound of every element ever.
Pi has all of your thoughts, in order.
Pi has the date of the explosion of the sun.
Pi has the answer to every mathematical equation ever.
Pi has a design for a nuclear bomb.
Pi has the design for a new species.
Pi knows all.
Pi is god.

while this is true, even if we were to actually find the numbers containing the answers to the questions of life, the universe and everything, they wouldn't mean **** to us, because we wouldn't know them apart from any other random gibberish we would find.

This is completely false. You can easily create an infinite nonrepeating decimal using only 2 digits and omitting the other 8. Pi might contain infinitely many patterns but it certainly doesn't contain all of them.

I'm not fantastic at math, so pardon my possible stupidity, but pi uses all numerals, no? And if pi uses all numerals and is infinite, and the number of combinations of numerals is infinite, does that not mean that pi must encompass all of them at some point or another?
Again, this may make no sense... I am not a clever man...

Not only are all those things contained within pi, but they are also repeated an infinite number of times.

Can someone help me wrap my tiny brain around this?
Pi is an infinite repeating number < 4.
So is it a constantly expanding decimal?
Or does it have an end if it is not constantly expanding?

It doesn't have to be constantly expanding.
Think about it this way, if you divide 10 by three, you get another infinite number. Although this number is reapeating, it has infinite threes, not constantly expanding, but the value will never be exactly the third of three in decimals, but it will be closer and closer.
