A lot of people think "Oh well chrome is the best browser" and I agree

However, I wanna clarify something. People say its fast. And I feel like it is. The reason it seems faster is because it uses more of your computers memory to make it run faster. It loads webpages and images as fast as your internet connection, not waiting for RAM to back it up.

The webpages on chrome also look smoother. A lot smoother when you scroll. The reason for this is that chrome will pull from your computers video adapter in order to smooth out the page, again, using more resources.

So in the end, for a slower computer, firefox is probably a better bet. Chrome is better for people with decent PCs and up.

Another thing I wanna say that why I prefer chrome over firefox is the fact that most of Chromes web coding is pulled from IE. And since most people have IE, or used to a few years ago, most webpages are coded in IE. You don't need to worry about tags not working

There are tags in Firefox that do not work in IE and vice versa. I.E. the <image title="'> tag only works in firefox, and IE has a different tag for it all together.

Chrome runs off of the same tags that IE uses, thus allowing webpages to load correctly

That's how I feel about it

Clarify please, because firefox supports title tags just fine.

They use some other tag in HTML for IE instead of the title tag. I forget what it is

Thanks for insight, i didn't know this :) Anon's happy now!

btw Opera's pretty good, I've got the impression that it's more user friendly... and i hate Chrome's downloading bar for some reason:P

The issue that chrome has with that is that chrome will not let you open a file, you always have to download it, no matter what, and that can be an issue with security reasons

I've got a badass gaming laptop, but only 8GB of RAM... whenever I use Chrome and try to play something like Crysis 3, I almost always run out of RAM. Thanks for explaining why my computer has like, 30 instances of chrome.exe running at about 120mb a piece.

>Implying 8 GB of RAM aren't enough for any computer not running Vista.

Thanks, that explains why in my Webpage class (making webpages with HTML), my sites usually only worked with IE and Chrome. Teacher never taught us Firefox codes.

The differences aren't substantial enough to break sites, but there are minor changes

Most of my sites were just aligned text with pictures though. We didn't learn a lot there, just how to format a site and put in stuff. The hardest stuff we learned was basic java code (like text boxes you can put info into) and CSS.

Maybe that's all there is to it, though...

Erm maybe you're right, but my computer is **** and it is soooo much slower using IE than chrome. Going on the internet is actually bearable using chrome compared to long ass waiting times on IE, so tbh I don't believe what you are saying based on personal experience.

Actually, the main reason that Chrome is so much faster is that they didn't load it down with all that bloat crap the others did. They made it more customizable...if you don't want a flash player embedded, you don't have to have one. If you don't want a java platform...don't add it. Customization is the key!
