Wouldn't flicking it down turn them on?

In America, moving the switch up turns on and down turns off. as it clearly says on the switch in this picture, look closer in you didnt see it

if it is a 3 or more way switch the off position can turn the light on.

if you wire it up yourself, you can make it either way by hooking it up backwards

When I hear or see Super dome, I usually think more of something like this.

I have one in my downstairs bathroom.

When we first moved in, my dad said it was a toilet warmer. Imagine my disappointment.

In our house, we have these speakers mounted on the ceilings in every room. They were there when we bought the house. We thought we could play music through them, but be could not find the plug-in. When we called in an electrician, he said that there were no wires, and the speakers were just randomly put there. Imagine our disappointment.

I have one of these in my house. We don't quite know what it's supposed to do, only that it shuts off all of the power in the room and is inconveniently located right next to the light for our back porch, which we rarely ever use...
