what if?

IF I WERE THE DEVIL...
If I were the Devil, I would manifest myself
inside of a virgin, say that I am the Son of God
and convince everyone that they can new be
forgiven fer every sin just by asking, thus
opening the floodgates for an unprecedented
and unending torrent of sin.
I would start with the uneducated and the peer.
I would impress them with some magic tricks,
teach them to pretend to eat my flesh, drink my
blood and always, ALWAYS, use MY name
when speaking to God.
I would most assuredly use my immortality
to fool them into thinking I came back from
the dead as proof of my divinity.
What better way is there to channel more
souls away from Caled and straight into Hell?

I ******* hate this channel, all it does is breed hatred toward Christianity, rather than the indifference Atheism should be.

How is this an atheist post? It acknowledges the existence of heaven, hell, and a god. Wouldn't this be just anti-christian, not anti-religion?

If you are an atheist why would it matter?
there is no theism in your life except your own
so you would not believe in any gods this includes God or Satan
So I do not understand how these post are so relevant to atheist
someone please enlighten me?

I feel bad for all the Christians browsing this channel. It's probably unpleasant to endure such prejudice and have your beliefs battered and overlooked

Now you know what the rest of the ******* world feels like

Possibilities have already crossed my mind. It doesn't bother me. Of course, that's because I'm open minded and not a stuck up asshole.

You call yourself "thebritishguy", like that makes you some sort of elite over the majority of this site, as if there aren't other British people here. You post in the Atheist channel, thinking that other Atheists will back you up. Yet, most British users are probably ashamed of you, and most Atheists are calling you out, because all you ever post are bigoted, uninformed rants toward Christianity.

You know how children will make fun of other children to cover their own insecurities? I think the same can apply to beliefs. The more you mock others' belief systems, the more it shows how much peer approval you need for your own.

I'm sorry to all you Atheists who have to have yourselves represented by angsty kids like this all the time. I know you aren't all like this guy.

Damn shame it takes a hell of alot more than asking to get your salvation, or this **** would make sense.

And no, its not following ******** ritual, its an internal and external transformation that includes being genuine in heart and in action. If you just ask and don't do **** , your not going anywhere worthwhile.

I don't understand why this is under atheism? Atheism doesn't agree to either a devil, nor a God. OP is a faggot today.

Sorry, that's not how science works. We don't waste effort trying to prove negatives, we just make observations and draw conclusions.

Like so:

The world is a ******* ****** ass place filled with suffering, and we humans are the only thing improving it. Therefore, it is unlikely that a benevolent God exists. Of course, that doesn't disprove his existence, but like I said we generally don't waste time trying to prove negatives.

Jesus died to atone for the sins of every person back then as well as the people of today and the future. by doing so we all would not be condemned to an eternity in hell.

btw if it wasint obvious its not enough to ask for forgiveness that's why you learn from your sin and stray away from it to further better yourself, that's kinda the point of forgiveness.

so to answer that question the best way would be not to have sent jesus down to earth at all, that way we all would have been screwed.

3/10 nice try but no

its all good it easy to get thumbs as long as you have a funny gif or w/e

ill start caring when they actually try to prove me wrong instead of just thumbing me down for being right XD

so you would preach love and kindness to get people sent to hell, makes sense

But if you do good things and are a good person under the assumption that you are doing it in the name of the correct god, then such a point is moot

If I were the devil, I'd make hell a place of fun sin, like adultery and gambling and killing and fighting, instead of an eternal torture chamber. Basically, anything the bible says no to is allowed. **** , you can even be nice if you want, I don't give a **** . All you have to do to get into my hell would be simply not give a **** about religion. You don't even have to read a book. It's just a leaflet, like a ******* vacation. "Ey, see all this good **** ? *five or six pictures of a rip-roaring helluva good time* All for you if you just go ahead and stop giving two ***** about religions."
#45 to #44 - deletedmyaccount (02/04/2013) [-]
Really? So it's a torture chamber for Satan, too?

That's why he tempts people and junk...he's lonely.
#33 - Metric (02/04/2013) [+] (2 replies)
Or we could skip the whole religion thing "I like this portrate"... and just be nicer to each other?

Okay ... okay... too much, nail me to a tree or something.
#48 to #36 - Metric (02/04/2013) [-]
Answer in 3 parts:

1) I support people being nice. Religion be damned unless it's towards that purpose.

2)Moralism =/= religion. Religions are not always correct or right. If you look at the bible as a piece of literature. You see that in the new testiment that this jesus guy states - hey guys - I know I said that you were supposed to not break these rules. (ten commandments **** ).. but I was kinda hoping that you've also not be dicks about everything else as well. I mean I gave you ******* creativity, but your using it to break rules that were implied rather then stated. So here's a couple of suggestions for moral life. **** the old **** , do this instead. The whole "do unto others crap".

It's also why this post is sorta debunked by anyone who's read the thing and looks at the moral lessons.

3) Moses Mahomadoies (spelling) was a theologian who explained that the concept of understanding the books of the law in the torah was based on understanding everything within them is a parrable. (IE - Not a direct inference, but rather a piece of wisdom literature. Meaning that it is never if A => DO B, it's learn the meanings and read between the lines.) In short, just as books are open to interpretation, the books of law are the same. For example, it was common practice to water animals on the Sabbath, even though god said "no work".

So conclusion. Both an neither.

This post makes no sense. By acknowledging the existence of the devil in that hypothetical situation, you automatically have to assume the existence of God. God wouldn't put up with the devils **** like that.
User avatar #21 to #8 - kamusioso (02/04/2013) [-]
Say Beardy exists, you say he wouldn't put with all the devils **** ? And what about all the starving kids in africa, the wars, etc. If he tolerates that, he can tolerate this.

Also, I'm the son of God, prove me wrong.
