I know that this is going to make me sound like a hippie, but I don't think that birds should be caged for our amusement.

I can't believe this guy dropped out of law school to be a comedian. But I'm damn grateful that he chose to do what makes him happy over what makes money.
It's a shame he's so under rated.

Demetri Martin is awesome.

"I used to say ATM Machine, but then one of my friends said, you know, the M stands for machine, you're basically repeating it, you're saying ATM Machine-Machine, so now I say, ATM-achine.

What if we're just the birds's slaves and they use mind control to make us feed them and their cages are like mansions?

Arrogant human question I recently posed to my floormates: You are walking in the woods with only a knife and your bare hands. What would you rather encounter and kill, a single Grizzly bear or 3 wolves?

Bear pic only semi related

bear its easier to keep track of 1 animal and the wolves would surround you
User avatar #82 to #80 - robotvoice (02/01/2013) [-]
interesting, is there a 100% chance of survival, could I lose a limb?
is this just for the sake of being a badass like
what would be cooler to kill?
think i'd take the bear.
User avatar #83 to #82 - Cambro (02/01/2013) [-]
The aim is survival and there is a threat of all injuries. You can run away, but you cannot escape without killing the creature(s).

Do I get to choose where int he woods I fight?

Second question, is it a flatland or a hilly area?

You'd best be getting where I'm going with this :L
User avatar #98 to #91 - Cambro (02/02/2013) [-]
Small to moderate inclines of land. Not flat but not steep.
#103 to #98 - gaaay (02/02/2013) [-]
I mean, that would be most people's only kind of chance in either of the two situations.
#102 to #98 - gaaay (02/02/2013) [-]
So no downhill areas I can run down to cause the bear to tumble, giving me a small window of opportunity to hack out an eye, allowing me to us the blind spot to take the other eye, which, in turn, would let me wait until it slept without fear of it knowing where I was (I would throw my clothes in different directions to confuse it's sense of smell), giving me another window of opportunity to slit it's throat while it slept?
#115 to #102 - chixla (02/02/2013) [-]
bears dont tumble on downhill areas , they run faster there
#118 to #115 - gaaay (02/02/2013) [-]
So you're telling me that the fact that bears have much smaller front legs/arms than hind legs impedes them in no way at all when they are moving downhill at speed and moving their centre of gravity towards their front?

And you're telling me that they even run faster as well?! Let me laugh harder.
#144 to #118 - anonymous (02/02/2013) [-]
National parks seem to disagree with you. http://www.nps. gov/dena/frequently-asked-questions-regarding-bears.htm
#154 to #144 - gaaay (02/02/2013) [-]
Huh, my apologies then, I was going by the basic principles of physics, that if a heavy object with a forward centre of gravity were to move down an incline it would tip or fall. I mean, have you ever tried running down a hill on your arms and legs? You fall right over.
