Everyone thinks you actually get the entire wad of cash if you buy it.
The joke is that it costs 1 dollar to buy, and in return you get only ONE DOLLAR.
Not the whole thing.
Now I await my red thumbs.

Huh? What's that lassy? There's a kid stuck in a well? There's a bird? A plane? Superman?! Ohhhhh! There's a rubber band around the wad of cash, causing it to be a cohesive wad of cash?! Well shucks, lassy! I guess I AM blind.

you clearly can't see the rubber band holding all of the dollar bills together...

You say it like we really don't get what it's supposed to be.

I see a lot of people saying that they would get a wad of cash, when you just get one dollar.
Example: Comment 100, Comment 93, Comment 35, Comment 36, or Comment 6
Those are ones I just quickly saw.

Even if they weren't bundled together with an elastic band, you'd get a lot more than just one because they're so thin.

Well, it appears to be stuck together with a band which implies it would come out together. Regardless, every one here got what the joke was supposed to be whether it was a technical failure or not.

Except, you know, for the rubber band around the wad of cash and the fact that it's on the first ring of the row.
