People look at every single Nazi being a racist anti-semetic ****, but it really wasn't that way. They were fighting for their countries. WWII was a total war, meaning that the citizens of the countries involved were part of the war effort. In fact, many Nazis were against Hitler's ideals.

****, I apologize. I meant the German soldiers fighting in WWII, not the Nazis.

i think you got it right though.
From what my grandmother and grandfather can tell me, the regular Wehrmacht soldiers, and especially the Austrians stationed in my town were not so bad.

The Gestapo and the Nasjonal Samling (Norwegian Nazi party) were nasty bastards though.

Nazis are by definition racist and anti-semitic. Not all Germans were Nazis though, that's where you're getting confused

No...most (if not ALL) Nazi were racist anti-semetic *****. These guys probably weren't Nazis though. They were probably just some regular average joe Germans in the Werchmart fighting for country.
