What's so special about the pocket knife. I understand the Swiss, but what about the other one?

It it a high-end production knife that a lot of OHO fans were super amped for. I personally didn't like it when I handled one, but it is a nice knife.

It has D2 tool steel and is very well made. The 2.0 version is a little better, but not my cup of tea still. Here's a link.

Not gonna lie, I gotta stay old school with my knives. I prefer Old-Style Bowie knives.

I like traditional knives myself: Barlows, stockmen, trappers, sodbusters, whittlers, lockbacks, etc. I do not like modern stuff very much, especially the overly-tactical **** .

I do think the tackiest knife I want is a Bowie knife similar to the big-ass one from CoD.

Blah. I don't like things like that, but to each his own, right?

Yeah. But, I do gotta admit "Modern" knives are really lightweight.

A lot of traditionals are too. Take the Opinel, for instance. It may not be too pretty or anthing, but it is super lightweight, reliable, bomb-proof and very ergonomic. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just making conversation.

Here is a modified one with a moose antler handle (he replaced the wooden handle. The bead is mammoth ivory, I think.). People customize them all of the time to their liking.

Yeah. What's your opinion on hidden blades (not like assassins creed) like necklace knives, buckle knives, and cane swords?

They have their uses, but I don't care for 'em. Basically, my philosophy is summed up by this: if my Grandfather would look at it and shake his head, I don't like it (generally).

Now neck knives are a touchy one for me. I like outdoors neck knives like the ESEE Izula, Becker BK14 and so on. They are awesome for backpacking and just the right size. Actual 'necklace knives', however, I don't care for. I am very picky about my blades, hehe.

I do fancy a little creativity and a mixing of old and new. In this pic, you will see a traditional Electrician's knife pattern. However, it utilizes modern materials like G-10, Lightning Strike carbon fiber, and ATS-34 steel (I think it was that steel anyway on this one). This is a custom by Jared Oeser.

I kind-of like a certain style of the "Necklace knives", but that's because the style I like are the ones that are crosses with the blade you can pull out. I like them because I am somewhat of a christian, but I like having protection on me at all times. (Just in case)

Now for a funny story. I remember once going to (I cant remember if it was a bass pro or a cabela's) with my friend and seeing the "Bear Grylles" knife for the first time and leaving a little note above it stating "How am I supposed to drink my piss with this".

You know, there is nothing wrong with that at all. If you like something, **** whatever others have to say.

I don't carry knives for self defense, I carry knives to make my life easier. The stuff that I like is not suitable to do so anyway, ah well, I don't think I will ever need it.

As for the Gerber BG Knife, that is hilarious, hat's off to you both.
