User avatar #141 to #132 - Mesmus (01/27/2013) [-]
Hunters, feral druids have quite complex rotations and buttons to manage. Feral must keep rip and savage roar up at all times. There are moments when dropping one is detrimental to dps. This game has gotten easier over the years yes, but there are still challenging specs.
User avatar #147 to #141 - DremoraValkynaz (01/27/2013) [-]
Eh, they don't really. Feral in PvP maybe, due to changing play style depending on whom your up against, but as PvE goes, they are as easy as any other class.

Keeping bleeds up is the exact same thing as keeping diseases or other dots up.
User avatar #152 to #147 - Mesmus (01/27/2013) [-]
Nope. Feral bleeds are different to other dots. It costs energy to use rake and you get 1 combo point. Optimal rips are 5 combo points but never rip below 4. What makes them different? Energy is a dynamic resource. Requires careful management. Capping energy is a dps loss. Wasting it is also a dps loss.

DKs have outbreak allowing them to keep diseases up almost indefinitely. Warlocks only use some mana to put dots up which is easily regained throughout the fight.
User avatar #154 to #152 - DremoraValkynaz (01/27/2013) [-]
Yes. Your making it more complicated than it should be.

I could argue the same thing for DK's. Loosing your dots is a dps loss, capping runic power is a dps loss.

Meh, in the eye of the beholder and all that, but your making a lot of fuss for a class that's rather easy to play.
User avatar #156 to #154 - Mesmus (01/27/2013) [-]
Rather easy ? Well you obviously have no idea. Just keep playing your faceroll class :)
User avatar #157 to #156 - DremoraValkynaz (01/27/2013) [-]
I play many classes Druid (Guardian, Resto & Feral), Mage, Hunter, DK and a few others @ level 90.

You're just getting butthurt cause you think that an easy class to play is "challenging".

Enjoy being ignorant and blinkered ^_^
User avatar #158 to #157 - Mesmus (01/27/2013) [-]
I couldnt give two ***** about pve. But energy capping as feral is understandable due to the myriad of things you gotta watch. But a DK rune capping, wtf man.

User avatar #81 to #50 - Bokmaaa (01/27/2013) [-]
I disagree. A LOT of those hardcore raiders with those sorts of gear spend a few hours, for a few nights a week. All it takes is great teamwork tbh.
#101 to #81 - newall (01/27/2013) [-]
yes and no, depending on your server and/or skill level. almost all of the guilds in the top 50/world PVE bracket spent at-least 10 hours a day in the newest content for world/realm firsts.

At-Least. some spending up-to 16 hours.

people with lives don't have time for that **** .

I just feel like this is the right place to post:

Is there something wrong with me for absolutely despising WoW? I tried getting into it four times. My greatest achievement was getting to level 14, at which point I just felt stupid for even playing it that much. The game consisted of the following:

Take a quest that tells you to kill ****
Travel to a place
Kill ****
Come back and get a reward
Complete area, go to another one
Take a quest that tells you to kill harder ****
...and thus into infinity.

To be honest, to me it felt like working and I felt like a complete idiot. I truly tried, wanted the game to be fun but NAH. Couldn't happen.
The last time, I was playing on a private server and I was a GM there. However the guy who was magical fairy princess told me not to use commands other than teleporting and movespeed, because it's more fun to play properly (and then he gave me lvl 20 for teh lulz). Even with teleporting and crazy speed, the game was **** to me.

I am ready for the rage, in case it occurs.
User avatar #95 to #92 - jazargo (01/27/2013) [-]
I guess there is nothing wrong with you for hating a game, but the description you gave of it is a bit weak, by that i mean isn't that essentially what most games are about? Getting a quest, competing it by doing some type of task and then moving on to the next objective?
But i see what you meen with WoW, if you have nobody to play with it can seem boring at low levels
User avatar #102 to #92 - ludislavonac (01/27/2013) [-]
That's how most MMO games work really, seems they just aren't your cup of tea. For me, well, it did take some time to realise what you said here, I played for quite some time, and after getting to lvl 70 (it was during the burning crusade era) I just got bored with all that instance grinding for better gear and going to battlegrounds just to get some stuff to fight in the arena. It started to feel like work, and I get the same feeling after I beat a pokemon game and want to train my pokemon for online battles, it's just never ending grinding, god I hate it really
#129 to #92 - fragglerocks (01/27/2013) [-]

User avatar #93 to #92 - thexxtalonxx (01/27/2013) [-]
No, there is nothing wrong with you. However.... I do feel like there is something wrong with actual WoW addicts.

That game is complete **** .
User avatar #103 to #92 - masdercheef (01/27/2013) [-]
Well, the whole "go there, kill **** , come back, and then go to the next region" is sort of the general basis for most MMORPGs. Also, as jazargo said, it is much more fun to play it with people, especially when you're talking over some voice chat like Skype or ventrilo. By oneself, it does get boring. Have you tried any other games like it?
#139 to #92 - anon (01/27/2013) [-]
Play it for PvP:)
User avatar #128 to #92 - arabiddrummer **User deleted account** (01/27/2013) [-]
If I could make a suggestion, give 15-20 a try. 15 is when you can start getting into instances, and that's really fun, to me anyway. But it might just not be your cup of tea. Nothing wrong with that.
User avatar #106 to #92 - stormcloakguard (01/27/2013) [-]
No there isn't anything wrong with you, unless you consider having an opinion a disease or something.

And as it's already said, that's how MMO's work, go on any mmo and more than half the time you'll find the "kill **** , come back", "kill **** , collect **** , come back" quests.
#121 to #106 - TheHutchie (01/27/2013) [-]
I think you've worked it out. Funnyjunkies consider having an opinion to be a disease! It makes perfect sense.

I wish they had constructive quests with a dynamic world where you could create tribes, clans, nations etc. on the same premises as a guild. But there are pre existing ones that you can war with too. Kind of a world set in the 16th century world, just without guns... or with guns.

Also get a good economic system working too in there.
User avatar #142 to #111 - feedtehtrollz (01/27/2013) [-]
I've always dreamed of getting the money together to make a game like that, It's was a medieval game in which you could hunt, farm, cook, mine, harvest, build, kill, etc. There would be a set area (outside of neutral cities and the area around it) where you could build a castle of you got 20 members to sign a document (in game item) to create a guild/clan/whatever and you could pool your recourses together to expand your castle and upgrade it, people can go to war with one another and pillage other castles treasuries. castles would have NPC soldiers to defend them also and to wage war the two leaders would have to accept a treaty.

Sadly I'm poor and my 3D design skills are still lacking for such an undertaking, sorry for long post.
User avatar #144 to #142 - satrenkotheone (01/27/2013) [-]
Don't be sorry for the long post. I love long posts.

And yes that's exactly what I am thinking of. But you have different ways to play it. You don't have to go around and kill stuff to get rich. Like you can be a merchant or a crafter if you like and there is basically no level system outside that of the skills you chose. Different skillpoints depending on what character you have. PVP is always on when outside safe areas, and in some location small clans or groups can form bandit teams and such in the forests.

Smaller groups can only build things like a small village or a fortified house while a larger group can build larger things. Those who make a lot of money can also build larger things and invest in building farms and other enterprises to increase their wealth even further.
User avatar #148 to #144 - feedtehtrollz (01/27/2013) [-]
Yes Exactly! I would love to be known as the one of the people who made such a colossal game. But again it would be a colossal game, and even with a huge staff it'd take longer than Duke Nukem to come out.

Oh well, a man can dream.

That's not how it goes anymore.
If they're "better" than you then it's not that they have no life, it's that they "suck and are just winning because that -insert used thing here- is OVERPOWERED!"
And you are a pro because you play the "more balanced" one.
